Toys without Soul

    I agree wholeheartedly about the electronic neglectomatic toys! I also have serious problems with violent toys like realistic weaponry and war toys. I think in a perfect world all the stores would have waldorf dolls and wooden imaginative toys and you'd have to buy Bratz and war toys from catalogs and on line. The sexism in mainstream toys is truly disturbing as well. Boys toys are violent and often scary,girls toys reflect obsession with outer beauty and fashion. No wonder this country is so screwed up!

    maybe you could just tell your family (nicely) that you allow that sort of stuff and tell them what will happen to it if your daughter recieves it (ebay, goodwill). people probably wont go to the trouble of buying electronic toys if they know it won't be welcome, its just as easy to buy art supplies or lincoln logs. some people might get huffy, well you know your family better than i do, haha.

    i hate all those commercials on nickelodeon. i dont have kids but it makes me sick that poeple actually buy into this stuff. ick....
