see, this is why when i have kids (sometime in the next decade) i would like them to be born here in England so they have an English citizenship and not American. being from America I see just how well the US takes care of their people. meaning ... they don't.

if you can't afford medication you just go sick until you die. if you can't afford food, it's your own fault, etc. over here, they take care of the sick, the poor, and the impoverished. yes, maybe there is still room for improvement but i know it is much better to pay about £7 for a medication you need (and if you can't afford that cause you are on social then you get it for free) then to have to try to pay $100+ a month per each prescription when you can't get healthcare in America and you don't quite qualify for medicaid.

America should think more about it's own people (not just big business) and less about sticking their nose in other people's countries and trying to control the world.

I know this whole rant is a bit off topic to the Trident, but it really goes in part with the whole theme of why America is just totally messed up.

That's why for now, this is my home.

I've always wondered about this. What is the truth ?. Do they have veto on the UK 'pressing the button'. Is it just we use their GPS systems or in the old days satelite systems ?. The 'Americans' also maintain our stockpile i thought ?. So in a round about way you maybe correct, i just do not know. It is a fave' with the anti nuke arguement that we do not have 'our' finger on 'our' nukes. I just wonder how true that is.

Anybody know the 'truth'. Not suggesting you are wrong Wond'ringAloud, just curious to know more.

Is not the UK goverment commisioning 3 not 4 'new' submarines. I think that is 'scaleing back' ?.

I'm a bit on the fence on this.. the arguements are persuasive either way.

I am for this whole 'slagging off America thing but I think that we should get back onto the subject of Trident and their crazy idea of making these weapons of mass destruction.

Absolutely nothing is good about 'pushing the button' on any country whether it is our war or someone elses.

*Moonhawk's mate-Freewind* Personaly i think that all of the nuclear weapons should be dissarmed and it is a pitty that they were invented in the first place!!!
(I don't have an E-mail adress so i can't join yet, But soon!)

    Hello to you.
Everyone will concur. How would you answer the argument that this nation could be held to ransom by nations that continue to hold such weapons.
And a Hello to you too.
Aye it would be a less worrying place without them, but can you really see total disarmament, perhaps I'm too cynical nowadays.
