Tried stuff called "Jenkem" - what is it?

That Sherrif's Dept. bulletin is real, but it's based on a hoax. The kid in the picture mixed various things together to make it look real, and posted it on some forum. Then it was seen by someone from the Sherrif's Dept. and they took it seriously. There was even an episode of "1,000 Ways To Die" that featured a story of someone who supposedly died with his head in the toilet of a porta-potty trying to get high from shit fumes. I'm just wondering how many people have actually been desperate enough to actually try it.

One of my graduate mentors, who is a professor from mexico City, was telling me about this crap people inhale in some poor areas of Mexico. It wasn't Jenkem but it's just about as stupid. Forgot exactly what it was, but a mixture of cheap solvents on a rag.

Sucks to live in some African country so poor that they don't even have access to solvents or ether.
