Steely Fuckin Dan. Thats my shit. Newer Wilco is really good too. I like the old stuff alot as well, but the experimental noise they are doing now is the cat's meow.
Walter Becker (Bass) and Don Fagan (Keys, Vocals) make up Steely Dan. They brought in studio musicians for every album. Larry Carlton was one (Crusaders), as was Jeff (Skunk) Baxter from the Doobie Brothers. I must admit, the guitar work alone is why I love Steely Dan. That shit is raw.
Damn I'll have to agree with Electric Ladyland, Later Beatles. Also any real jammin music from the 60s and early 70s, but those two especially. If you want something intense, Miles Davis's On The Corner album would do that. I've never tripped but I think I have a good idea of what I'd like to listen to if I was.
Yea, whoever the sesh guys are on the stuff I have are pretty intense. I have a doobie brothers boot that's pretty rocking. A good band for tripping that doesn't seem to get much love around here is steppenwolf. I have all their albums up until the one about sexual equality or whatever.
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=89121610 Ever heard Airto Moreira & Flora Purim The magicians bruxos is out of hand well your tripping i dont no how crazy i am about the vocals in the first part of the song but it dosent even matter,
Dude that is perhaps the funniest signiture i've ever seen. Is there a story behind it that you know of, or is it just some random pic?
all music is psychedelic. on lsd you will be sensitive to subtle changes, emotions and moods presented by all different forms and styles. music you may have not have paid attention to while sober may suddenly have a lot to offer. instead of categorizing the music in terms of what you like or don't like you hear it as raw sound that warps your moment to moment experience. music on lsd gets you way higher. if you want something that will make you trip balls, get somethink psychedelic - electronica, weird sounds, maybe some weird foreign music. if you want to cry with joy listen to some neil young or grateful dead or something real positive or emotional. if you want something that will keep you on a good solid groove... a nice soundtrack to your trip, choose something with a good beat. watever you choose i recomend you take some time out when your peaking by yourself in a dark room with a joint and headphones. the music starts to create your world
crystal method gms talamasca shanti cyrus the virus Primus Just sus out any good trance and youll be trippin balls.
That sig pic is like on a website that generates messages on a church sign via user input. I thought it was real the first time I saw it a while ago too, I think it was on myspace.
yea thats were i found it. It would be to hard to do in real life unless somehow the church had all the letters you neede
Well I'm sure whoever maintains the sign has hundreds of those letters. If you got access to them all you could write whatever you wanted.
Or you can use the nifty web applet. I'm sure if you searched google for church sign generator you would find it.
hahaha theres a fucking churchsigngenerator.com and it has like 10 different signs including the one in my signature
Hmmm.. I cant believe no one has mentioned the Flaming Lips!Their masterpiece (one of) - "Yoshimi battles the pink robots" and Pink Floyd "Dark Side of the Moon" are great to listen to on a trip. Dark side as youre coming up and yoshimi when youre peaking would be the perfect combo. But if I had to pick one I think I would go for Yoshimi... other great albums to trip to... Flaming Lips - "Soft Bulletin" , "At War with the Mystics" Super Furry Animals - "Love Kraft" Modest Mouse - "Moon + Antarctica" - also there are so many older modest songs (and albums) that are amazing so a good modest mix or 3 would be sufficient Pink Floyd - "Meddle" "Obscured By Clouds" The Cure - "Disintegration" and most of "Bloodflowers" The Chameleons (UK) - "Script of the Bridge" - just get all the albums and condense into a mix - perfume garden, second skin, paper tigers, Don't Fall are just a few magnificent tracks Superimposers - Superimposers Sunset Rubdown - Shut up I am Dreaming -- Havent tested out the above 2 artists but I think it would be quite an experience What I like the best when tripped out: 1.Flaming Lips 2.Pink Floyd 3. Chameleons or Modest Mouse Trust me on these --- you wont be disappointed -mAtt
if you like flaming lips, check out there first album In A Priest Driven Ambulance or Finaly the Punk Rockers are Taking Acid. if you thought yoshimi was trippy, those albums will blow you away.
