I really did feel sorry for Bill's sire. She really does love him. It reminded me of Lestat and Gabrielle from The Vampire Chronicles- he turns her, they live happily for years, then she gets the itch and leaves him to be with nature and he's left alone. In those books, it's just something that happens between vampires and their makers: they fall in love with a human, turn them, but they never stay. There's always something that calls them away, be it another vampire or some incompatibility that arises from them being turned.
I don't know if it's that complicated in the True Blood universe, though. It just seems like she chose the wrong guy. Unfortunately for her. :(

Hell yeah love Anne Rice's books...I like the connection vampires have for their makers too, it's almost dog like (in the Tru-verse) the hierarchy.

Hmmm, never thought of it that way... Anne Rice's are solitary or keep to covens... True Blood vamps have packs. :p

I'd hardly call it Sci Fi =/

But it's pretty good, my sister watches it and I do sometimes, last episode was great.

Nah, it's horror, but with an element of Fantasy thrown in, so Scifi is as close as this forum allows. ;)

Hm, I don't know that it's horror either, but the things that are considered horror amaze me sometimes =P
But yeah, you're right, not many options for subforums =P

Oh I just love it! I just got into the show a month or so ago cause I was so into the books. I read all the books and I almost like the show better. They are really quite different so I never know what to expect in the show, and I love that!!

I don't think they could have cast this any better. Sookie is such a cutie. I love Tara and Lafayette. Bill, Eric, Pam! What an amazing cast.

Haha, I don't think Godric is coming back... *le sigh* :(
Anyway, twang, True Blood doesn't air on holiday weekends. If you'll recall, it wasn't on Memorial Day weekend either.
Stupid Labor Day... I didn't get the day off, why should Bill?

I saw that stuff! Everyone is talking about it on the imdb message board. I guess it's like fruit juice (someone compared the consistency to V8 Splash). I would totally throw a Halloween party with this stuff if it wasn't so damned expensive!
Love that shop, by the way. I want a Fangtasia shirt. Bad.

Yins think it was Eric? (Erik??)
    I doubt it.

Also, I don't watch the show regularly, but my sister tells me about it constantly, and that season finale was somewhat disappointing to me. Sam and the end were the only parts I really found worthy of a finale.

I was disappointed with the season two finale.

The plot seem to regurgitate old material and add nothing new. I felt the writing was lazy and predictable. Nothing new happened really, a good portion of the show was given to finally...finally killing off Maryann. Didn't her story seem to be filler?

Jason and the detective were conveniently put under spell, yawn. And did you guess that Sam was the bull right away? I did, snore. Old material. Of course Sookie objected to being a bridesmaid, but lame how she stood aside , along with most of the Vampires- did they even have a role in this episode? The only surprise was that egg took a shot to the dome, and Bill being assaulted by an unknown attacker (there had to be some kind of cliff hanger).

I still look forward to season three with high hopes! Do we really have to wait a full year?
