TRUMP IMPEACHED!

Discussion in 'Politicians' started by ZenKarma, Dec 18, 2019.

  1. Members? I prefer to lament politicians. It's not a personal thing with anyone here. Unless, of course, they say something stupid or overtly personal about me.

I'm sorry, I ment forum members!

And my post is not about it getting personal or not, its about why you felt the need to clarify you actually call out both left and right idiot posts on here. I notice too you pretty much only call out the left leaning stupidity (and curiously enough regularly 'like' idiotic stuff from certain right leaning forummers. I won't assume why :) ). Now, I agree unfocusedanakin's conclusions are unneccesary and uncertain, but felt like explaining its noticable your calling out of political bullshit on here is predominantly on the left.

Wait a minute...I don't understand. If you support the actions, morals, and ethics of a certain individual doesn't that meant that you approve of those actions, morals, and ethics?

If Person A supports Person B, he supports Person B's actions, morals, and ethics.
    Person A supports Person B.
Therefore, Person A supports Person B's actions, morals, and ethics.

What am I getting wrong here?

The only possible problem is if the two premises are incorrect.
Are you saying that ************ doesn't support Trump? (First premise) Or that Trump doesn't support violence? (Second premise)
I can fully understand that ************ would not support violence, and I believe Trump does support violence as is evident by his words and actions.

So does ************ believe that Trump doesn't support violence or is he not a supporter of Trump?
Please clarify for me ************ and Asmodean.

    I'm confused.

If all those 'ifs' above would be the case it wouldn't be an assumption.
The logic in unfocusedanakins post is flawed because voting for Trump doesn't automatically mean you also 'support the actions, morals, and ethics' of Trump.

Supporting someone by favoring them in the presidential position does not mean you also support every following action or idea expressed by that president. Seems so evident to me I feel kind of weird telling you this :p

  5. Just because you vote for someone doesn't mean you support what they do. Maybe you just voted for Trump because he is good and you don't like evil.

Exactly. Certainly not everything. You can act like it doesn't make sense but history is flowing over of examples. But if you think about it how can you come to a different conclusion?

  7. Yeah like Hitler. Lots of good people were behind him all the way. And just because they supported everything he did didn't mean they hated Jews.

Is it so hard to see that Iran is evil? Trump is good!

The people who supported everything Hitler did likely hated Jews too, and if not they readily adopted that hate because well, they supported everything Hitler did or said.
But what i pointed out is that also in the case of Hitler not everyone who voted for him supported everything he did or said afterwards.

pressure being put on Nervous Nancy to forward the "two" articles of impeachment to the senate. she doesn't want to do it, cause the senate knows what she is up to. notice how quiet "the squad" is right now, they got her into this , now that it wont go down the pipe, they all jump back out of the way. Nervous is a puppet of the house "rats

  10. People have no responsibility for who they support. This much is a given.

  11. Yes, because the greatest hits come from the left. The right is boring.

I don't know if there's a like report, it might be interesting. Since we don't have a dislike button, I use "Like" either way, as a simple flag.

So if you think about how I usually interact with anyone here, the "Like" button can just as easily say "I recognize your bullshit but don't think it's worth full response" .

Welcome to my way of thinking.

I'm good... He usually ignores anything I post, especially when it's factual and correct.

  14. The right is the good guys. They just think about how to help America, and then the left tells lies about them. Because the left are evil. But republicans.. oh, I could weep when I think about all they do to help and protect americans. They are angels.

I also like posts not merely out of agreeance. But nobody, including the right leaning person who's idiotic posts got liked repeatedly, knows why those posts were liked. So it easily gives off the wrong impression. Also: why do posts in the political threads that are not only boring but also bullshit deserve a recognition in the form of a like anyway...

What does voting for Trump mean if not supporting his actions, morals, and ethics?

Are telling me that we shouldn't vote for a person as a whole but only for selected actions, morals, and ethics?
For example, if someone supports torture and a higher minimum wage, and I do not support torture but I do support a higher minimum wage...I should vote for him?
Should I not look at the preponderance of his actions, morals, and ethics?
