Jack Anderson. Wasn't he the journalist Nixon tried to sick the CIA on? Planning to smear a psychedelic substance on the steering wheel of his car, I read, so that he'd have an "accident". Nice guys, these Republican Presidents. We dodged the bullet on that one, but this time the Prez feels vindicated and unleashed. It's open season on his enemies.

for one, it shows strength thru unity, and defense of a man who is not guilty. as for the tone, its sore losers yet again, as you can see Pelosi ripping up the prez's speech.

No, it shows moral weakness through unity, through cult-like devotion in defense of a man who is clearly guilty. As for sore winners, you can see Trump's petty rant at the national prayer breakfast. What a disgrace!

Maybe so. G.W. "won" after his supporters did a "swift boat" number on John Kerry. How did the nation do after that one? More wars and the 2008 recession!

I ask to be taken seriously and this is what I get?

Um, that's not the tone at the top that I mean...

So you're saying they are uniting in defense against people who have unjustly accused the president of trying to smear his enemies and of course the obstruction of fulfilling subpoenas?

I think that everyone knows he did those things. What is up in the air is whether or not it necessitates or lends to removal.

By ripping the document, I believe she is righteous because why should she just sit there standing by while he lies through his teeth, as we have proved he does.

The tone at the top... This phrase is typically used to describe the behavior of executives within the leadership in a corporate entity and how their behavior - attitudes, mannerisms - influence the rest of the organization. By tone at the top, I'm essentially saying that I for one am not fooled; I can see the president's honesty problem and I will not tolerate it. And I don't think you should either. He's totally playing you @onceburned. He's a rich man and he's taking advantage of the public.

I would theorize that Donald Trump has a little barometer in his brain perhaps focused on the social climate he has experience with in business - the behaviors of executives and their private opinions on the populace and the issues pertaining to them - and the same as he's experienced perhaps on twitter or other social media in the last few years. And let's not forget he's not always been a republican. He is probably playing at being republican as you or I might play charades.

I really like the way you simply skip over Obama and Clinton. You don’t think they attacked the institutional and moral foundations in your country?

the thing is that it wasn’t Bush that caused things to crash there, it was actually Clinton. In 1999 there was a deregulation which allowed the banks to act like hedge funds. They also invested depositors funds in outside hedge funds.

this did not happen in Canada because we had a formula, law in place since the Great Depression which would not allow banks to loan money without looking at income and using a percentage of their income to go towards the mortgage loan. For example, if you make 30k a year, 1/3 is what you can afford in mortgage payments, so, 10k a year over a 25 year period, they will loan you 250 000 for a house. That is just an example of how it works here. Lobbyist tried to get Canada to deregulate but this law could not be changed.

now there was a housing bubble created because of this stupid method of banks making loans which was done during the Clinton administration,. The feds raises the rates during a strong economy to keep excesses in check, and cuts borrowing costs when the economy needs support. interest rates rose during the bubble and this caused loans to go into default. Since the crash interest rates, set by the fed have been close to 0%

not my kids....they wouldn't do anything like that....but the republicans...now THEY did all the bad stuff and we're gonna prove it. even if we have to make up crimes , invent witnesses and forge documents. and don't forget, Trump might give Alaska to the Russians...….…...

Obama put wind in the sails of the people! :) He was a mover in terms of moral foundations. And I would cite his excellent environmental stance as evidence of institutional foundation.

EDIT: A lot of republicans talk like they want to tear down Obama. And there are guys in Congress who made their career about blocking his policy - all in the name of what? - but I digress. There are flaws in any president; Obamas were few and far between. But I don't know that I'd put him on the same list of people that you're trying to criticize.

Honestly, it feels a little bit like you're trying to align republicans on an anti-democrat basis without an adequate fundamental foundation of thinking a certain way about issues, or having a certain set of standards that are socially normal. It's kind of embarrassing.

By ripping up Trump's speech, Nancy Pelosi is saying, "Donald, I know you're guilty as charged but you beat the charges due to Republican partisanship. And your SOTU speech is filled with misleading statements, distortions and outright lies. You're unfit to be President."

No, I don't. Please tell us how or what they did?
I would have to research this, but given that republicans like deregulation, they would not have stopped it. So yes, the blame falls on bush.

Oh … is that the way it happened???

I was always under the impression that it was Osama Bin Laden. But correct me if I'm wrong... you mean it wasn't all those guys from the videos of beheadings and whatnot?

It was Obama all along! :) And if it weren't for you meddling kids...

    shame on him!

Ok ok, in seriousness... You don't expect anyone to believe that do you? I mean, it's blatantly false. Maybe there's a blog about it or something on some dark corner of the internet where trolls fester.

Is any mainstream media outlet reporting that Obama financed or otherwise supported terrorist interests?

If you consider Tucker Carlson perhaps...
