That's what it was, I wasn't calling you names, just the list. They surely weren't the work of the hard right. And there was certainly nothing centrist about their delivery either. So how would you prefer to characterize their slant? Soft left?
Left would suffice i think. But it doesn't matter much if you don't read the actual sources What do you think about these characterisations:
I understand you weren't calling me any names...just my sources. I would characterize their slant as true and accurate. Doesn't matter if they're hard left, right, center, purple, orange, or green.
Ultimately, I don't buy MOST of the claims about selected people being "racists" simply because it has become the default accusation for anyone who doesn't agree with someone else's dogma regardless of their actual nature or intent. Seriously folks, the race issue is NOT as prolific as the media that is spoon feeding it to us is making it out to be. And it takes a substantial effort to step outside of the mania and realize that NO, the KKK is not having a renaissance. And NO, there's not a racist in every republican congressional seat (assuming so though, is itself pure racism). For a while now I've made fun of this, but the race angle is being played daily now by not only the press, but by far too many democrats. It's a political ploy that most of the educated here should see through readily. What I don't get is why a site like this is being suckered into the party bullshit. Do we really care who is in charge? Neither side is doing shit for hippies. Can we possibly ditch the fanatical adherence to a party and realize what we actually have in common? Or do we just like to argue and political affiliation makes that oh so easy? Since the 70s I have seen neither party address any of our issues in real terms. Even pollution was hijacked into the nebulous "global warming/cooling/warming" scam geared toward cashing in with penalties.
Could be racism has become such a hot topic because of the president and his support from Neo Nazi Andrew Anglin, the Council of Conservative Citizens, David Duke, Peter Brimelow, Richard Spencer, Kevin McDonald, Gregory Hood, Brad Griffin, Scott and Steve Leader, Craig Cobb, Jared Taylor, Rocky J. Suhayda, Don Black, August Kreis III, Kris Kobach, Matthew Heimbach, and others like them, all public Trump supporters and all avowed racists. Of course we should call the press to task for reporting on this....how dare they? It's not the support of Donald Trump by white nationalist that's troubling, it's the reporting by the "liberal" media of that support that is troublesome. Surely all you educated people can see through the barrage of facts, verified data, and direct quotes of White nationalists about their support of Trump and come to understand that by presenting these facts they are the problem! Oh, how they sucker you in!
Yea, but I still don't think Trump is a genuine racist. I think so many in the media "hate" him that they'll grab any straw as "proof". It's only so much foolishness as far as I can tell. Playing to the lowest common denominator, as the press has proven over and over . They want clicks/ad space, so the "truth" is a matter of what they can create that enough people will click on. If we REALLY had a Nazi/White supremacist problem in the US, I fear that Hip Forums as well as all the sites you have referenced, would no longer exist (or could otherwise not be accessed in the US). Seriously, if we really had this nazi problem that you and a few others are trying to sell to me so openly, do you honestly think they'd tolerate your message? Come on with this already. You KNOW it's bullshit. If it was real, I'd expect a bullet for myself already from the nazis. They surely know I don't buy their shit. So, where the hell are they? The list you present is a feeble bunch of malcontents with zero actual power or influence. Quit playing games already.
The Nazis are marching in the streets. Real live people still vastly outnumber them, but Trump is making their rhetoric more palatable. Because he's making a lack of general concern for other people more palatable. Maybe it is a little racist to just not give a damn about minorities, but he doesn't even give a damn about his base. He's just a ringleader at a circus and all he cares about is his brand. The alt-right and neo Nazis feed off of his apathy.
It should be obvious that I was speaking in general, exempting no one. That's the part you demonstrated that you misunderstood because you asked me if I thought it applied to one particular case.
First of all I'm not trying to sell you anything. Second you seem to think racism is just something conjured up by the press to sell newspapers. I'm 68 years old, I've seen it, I see it now. Next you seem to think racism isn't a problem as long as we, you or I, aren't affected. I worry about those that are affected, not those who aren't. I don't know it's bullshit, I know it's deadly serious. The list I presented is just a few of the most vocal. How do you think they got all the attention they have? How do you think they pay their bills, became alt media stars? No one supports them? I try not to play games. What in god's name do you think I'm trying to put over on people? You think I'm pushing some agenda and using racism as a tool to achieve some nefarious goal I have in mind? You go on and believe whatever you want.
A tired old argument By that kind of logic, If someone calls themself a neo nazi and donates $5 to Trumps campaign, that makes Trump a rascist
They support him because his agenda primarily favors white people. He mainly favors the rich and those already with a leg up in society, which happens to be white America. His base are just bottom feeders and those who see this agenda as being conducive to their white supremacist points of view. So yeah, he is kind of racist by association. What do you think happens when you call black people's ancestral homes shitholes, discriminate against Mexicans, and try to ban Muslims? It speaks to everything racists are all about, even though he probably just wants America to be a great place for rich people of any color.
I wont refute that 1973 suit now, surprised it specified one particular race But I still dont think it isnt more about corporate greed than racism Looking over those FBI documents, testimony from the testers, doesnt seem to be the case they were flat out rejected most of the time, as opposed to being directed to apartments in black neighbourhood, which sounds more likely for landlords wanting to make money I think most people will read that, think, meh, it was the early 70s, stuff like that was happening everywhere. Its not the smoking gun it maybe should be, if it was it would have made a greater impact on Trump already
It's so easy to be seduced by the Donald as well. To take his self-love and try and turn it into positive self-love for yourself. And then spew all this bullshit about how "at least he's honest." People don't even know what honesty is anymore. It's about doing the right thing and having principal. Not just outwardly expressing non-politically correct points of view. He doesn't say what we're all thinking. He says what stupid people are thinking.
