I think Wilsjane was speaking of Franklin Delano Roosevelt - not Teddy. FDR was a Democrat - Teddy was a Republican. But Teddy was more of a Democrat than some give him credit for. Teddy was an environmentalist and a conservationist, ( he LOVED nature ) setting aside millions of acres for preserves and National Parks.

There are only 2 ....... 2 ....... Democrats who are "dragging their feet" on a host of issues that the rest of the Democratic party are in agreement on - Sinema and Manchin. According to news reports, those two have recently gotten a PILE of campaign money from VERY DEEP-POCKETED REPUBLICAN donors. I wonder why Sinema and Manchin oppose many things the rest of the Democrats ............. and the rest of the country .............. want to get done?????:mad::mad:

SECURE voting rights for ALL Americans, infrastructure, environmental protection, fairer tax policies that treat avg. Americans better than THE REPUBLICAN PARTY does, etc. - are all things THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY is / has been fighting for for years.

That's why the "Supreme Court" decision made by the REPUBLICAN MAJORITY of the court in the "Citizens United" case, is a 100% complete DISASTER for democracy. The decision opened the floodgates for "dark money" to BUY politicians. Whoever has the most money / deepest pockets - gets to have laws "tailored" to their own self-interest. The decision - in reality - legalized CORRUPTION. The "Supreme Court" REPUBLICAN puppets recently decided that no requirements can be placed on so-called "dark money" to force hidden donors to publicize THEIR big-money campaign donations.

Got LOTS of money??? Have INSIDE CONNECTIONS??? Shovel LOTS of money into the political campaigns of the candidates you can convince to "custom-tailor" - "custom amend " laws the way you want them. But if avg. "working folks", environmental groups, and union members want to donate to someone's political campaigns - put STRICT requirements on them to provide proof and documentation of how much you gave and to whom. (see last sentence in the above paragraph!)

If THAT'S not Big Brother standing on your throat ........... I don't know what is. Freedom & Liberty?? Democracy?? For who......... exactly??
