These kinds of things reveal character. A sniveling pathetic child, who deals with his inadequacy for his job by tweeting insults during a disaster his impotence aggravated. Why waste more time debating it. He's the worst. Once he loses in November we should legally Voldemorthis name.
Trump will NEVER - EVER be written of in a positive light in the history books. He's cast his own die, and he CAN NOT change it. His legacy will be a pile of excrement.
From the obituary: "The cancer diagnosis that John had received just months before could not stop them" Mmmm hmmm
So much for Hephatrump's Covid - 19 drug cure !!! Study Of Drug Touted By Trump As Coronavirus 'Game-Changer' Finds More Deaths, No Benefit The analysis of VA hospitals patients was posted on an online site for researchers and has not been reviewed by other scientists. Marilynn Marchione AP A malaria drug widely touted by President Donald Trump for treating the new coronavirus showed no benefit in a large analysis of its use in US veterans hospitals. There were more deaths among those given hydroxychloroquine versus standard care, researchers reported. The nationwide study was not a rigorous experiment. But with 368 patients, it’s the largest look so far of hydroxychloroquine with or without the antibiotic azithromycin for COVID-19, which has killed more than 171,000 people as of Tuesday. The study was posted on an online site for researchers and has not been reviewed by other scientists. Grants from the National Institutes of Health and the University of Virginia paid for the work. Researchers analysed medical records of 368 male veterans hospitalised with confirmed coronavirus infection at Veterans Health Administration medical centres who died or were discharged by April 11. About 28% who were given hydroxychloroquine plus usual care died, versus 11% of those getting routine care alone. About 22% of those getting the drug plus azithromycin died too, but the difference between that group and usual care was not considered large enough to rule out other factors that could have affected survival. Hydroxychloroquine made no difference in the need for a breathing machine, either. ASSOCIATED PRESS This Monday, April 6, 2020, photo shows an arrangement of hydroxychloroquine pills in Las Vegas. (AP Photo/John Locher) Researchers did not track side effects but noted a hint that hydroxychloroquine might have damaged other organs. The drug has long been known to have potentially serious side effects, including altering the heartbeat in a way that could lead to sudden death. Earlier this month, scientists in Brazil stopped part of a study testing chloroquine, an older drug similar to hydroxychloroquine, after heart rhythm problems developed in one-quarter of people given the higher of two doses being tested. Many doctors have been leery of the drug. At the University of Wisconsin, Madison, “I think we’re all rather underwhelmed” at what’s been seen among the few patients there who’ve tried it, said Dr Nasia Safdar, medical director of infection control and prevention. Patients asked about it soon after Trump started promoting its use, “but now I think that people have realized we don’t know if it works or not” and needs more study, said Safdar, who had no role in the VA analysis. The NIH and others have more rigorous tests underway. The Associated Press Health and Science Department receives support from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Department of Science Education. Sure, he doesn't have the sex appeal of a Bernie, but I'm an issues voter. Time to get on the Biden boat Mr. Gorilla!
The study's not perfect. Per the link: 29% who received HCQ had albumin <2.7 vs. 6.3% in control! 2. Transaminitis was 5x more likely in HCQ group vs. control group 3. Anemia (Hgb<10) was ~2x more likely in HCQ group compared to control. That said it's a data point. I am unequivocally against politicising medical treatment. While Trump raving about this as a medical miracle was wildly inappropriate, the drig may still have some palative therapeutic value. We need to rigorously follow the data.
So Trump's immigrant ban turns out to be more smoke cover, a sound bite. Place the blame on immigrants. The ban would only be in effect for 60 days and we already have stopped processing visas as of March 19. It would exclude farm and food production workers, health care workers, and medical researchers; among other unspecified groups and individuals. Thank god Trump has cut off people like this who bring in their entire family through chain migration and steal our X rated modeling jobs.
I would jump overboard if I was american Why can't all american citizens fed up with this status quo work towards some constructive changes in the system? Special privileges for 2 parties? No longer. Distorted voting system? Make it clear you don't want it anymore. Etc.
At this point I think two parties is a consequence to our winner take all presidential system. We've been around 250 years and never had a viable third party. Only parties that arose from the ashes of others. It's not just a matter of Americans not wanting it enough, it's not practical in the current setup. Preferential voting could be a solution for our two party death lock. I favor a parliamentary government. But how to inspire mostly comfortable people to actually vote? Riddle me that Asmo.
The current setup doesn't work anymore. I can't blame american citizens for not seeing the point of voting in the current setup. Inspire them by giving them legitimate hope, which if i was american could only be given by seeing real progressive changes in the setup/system.
Many people thought (wrongly) that Trump was the answer. An outsider. You see the swamp HE BUILT??? He's NO ANSWER!!! Throwing a rattlesnake into an enclosure full of rabbits is certainly a change to an established "system", but change-for-the-sake-of-change doesn't guarantee it's a good change. Qualifications and knowledge are key. Trump is - and has been for his entire career - nothing but a glorified salesman. He talks sh*t, convinces people he's onto something, gets them to jump on his bandwagon, and they follow him like blind LEMMINGS. He has several past business partners that he f-ed over and they lost big money. And that was in a business he was "familiar" (?) with - buildings. He's a stain on the pages of the U.S. history books - nothing more.
He's a consequence of the political status quo in a polarized society. A symptom of the bigger problem.
We've had third parties in the past, the know nothing's, for example. The more modern third parties tend to attract extremists, or people with weird ideas. What this country really needs is a better vetting process for candidates. Something akin to an iq test. And a maximum age of 65 to run.
I would not be so sure about that. Look at how Hitler still has a cult to this day. How despite all the evil and fuck ups he's a hero to them. Trump is the same kind of person to racists and idiots. In 50 years he's the martyr who the system got. The man brave enough to make something for his people. The Hitler cult says it's actuly everyone one being against the genuine Hitler that causes him to fail. Notice how no matter what to Trumpers the entire system is against him and for either blatant or subtly racist reasons he has to the winner. As a student of history I sure do. Most books will have the truth but like with Nazis there will be lost young men who think they are edgy or using free speech who will find the books by written by the Stromfronts and Alex Jones of the world.
^^^^ I meant by genuine, objective history books UFA! The kind scholars read - not head-case nut-jobs like those that think Hitler was good man. There is REAL history ………. and then there's slanted, biased, altered history. I was referring to the real, objective written volumes. I anyone follows Hitler, Stalin, Mussolini, Pol Pot, and those types, they'll end up where they are. I don't think they made the pearly gates.
