If no other bodily appendage on Trump has length, his arms must be growing and stretching everyday so he can continue to pat himself on the back more thoroughly for all his "greatness, genius, and doing a wonderful job" for U.S. workers and the corona virus pandemic. Complete, total P.O.S.

it's different now, and the protesting is more extreme. but you said that nobody complained at all after 9/11, which is what i was saying was not accurate.

I should have said nobody complained in a violent, armed way. I do not recall multiple states having mass, hate-filled protests, and storming state houses with guns after 9-11. Todays' protests are insane. People are actually getting killed over masks, not wearing masks, etc. A security guard was shot & killed after he told a woman that she and her daughter had to put on masks to enter the store. They left and came back with another man & they shot the security guard. That's one of the latest violent acts. It's crazy. I fail to see why anyone would protest in such a hate-filled, violent way over a temporary set of measures meant to protect them and everyone else!!!

I have no fear of my freedoms being taken away, and I doubt many reasonable people think that way now. But some are certainly unglued enough to become violent.

On a side note - I don't know if you've heard the latest "complaint" and "warning" put forth by some of the far right's agitators. They are claiming that wearing masks forces the wearer to re-breathe CO-2 and wearers will become oxygen deficient and pass out or worse. I can personally de-bunk that nonsense. I've worked in BIG construction all my life. I've had to wear masks all day for 10 & 12 hour shifts because of various dusts, harmful particulates from rock wool to welding fumes to silica dust to asbestos. Wearing a mask for hours and hours does NOT limit your oxygen intake at all. That's a BS claim by agitators who want to make the medical people look bad for being cautious, and support Trump's "open up everything" carelessness. If masks were dangerous in any way - I'd have been dead long ago.

Which ideology would that be? Are you talking about Marxism-Leninism? I seriously doubt that people resisting opening up the economy prematurely are enamored with Marxism-Leninism. Can you name even five people who fall into that category. You have a hyperactive fantasy life. Once again, you're caught with your pants on fire.

if by Marxism/Leninism, you mean socialism, then yes.

Leftist tyranny doesn’t happen overnight. It starts with a few “free” programs.

No, Six-eyed. You show your ignorance. Marxism-Leninism is a specific kind of socialist ideology. Equivocating between it and other forms of socialism, democratic socialism, for example, is a logical fallacy which you're employing to deceive us. I don't think there are any examples in human history where "Leftist tyranny" started with " a few 'free programs' ". Is your nose growing? Your blatant propaganda and spin doctoring gets old.

This is my fault. I keep mentioning social programming...

But even if the government charged $1,000 annually in addition to what we currently pay it would mean a whole bunch of free programs. $1,000 off the top is quite a bit at first glance. But monthly? It's about $83. That's significantly less than my car insurance. What if it meant roads and trees and hospitals?

I wish that taxation weren't such a hot button issue because that's what we're gonna need in my honest opinion.

    equivocate
    /ɪˈkwɪvəkeɪt/
    Learn to pronounce

    verb
    gerund or present participle: equivocating
    1. use ambiguous language so as to conceal the truth or avoid committing oneself.
"the government have equivocated too often in the past"

Didnt look like you knew what equivocating meant there

Then you went on to say "between it and other forms of socialism" is a logical fallacy???

You said it was a form of socialism, then said it was a logical fallacy to say it was

Pol Pot of course was all about the Marx Lenin (Biden ;) ) worship

Marxism/Leninism does not equate with just being a Socialist, we are more discerning than that and vet everyone who applies for membership of our party !!!

Creating a nonsensical term doesn't negate the actual definitions of existing terms.

Do you realize how stupid that sounds? If it is a Democratic decision, then the majority of voters agree … meaning consent! Consent means it is not enforced … meaning no slavery. The common characteristic I often see in Republicans and Trump worshippers in general is their slavery to the Right Wing disinformation news sources.

From you definition it would seem I knew exactly what equivocating meant there! Six was trying, as he typically does," to use ambiguous language so as to conceal the truth or avoid committing oneself"--trying to suggest a false equivalence between Marxism-Leninism" and democratic socialism. And it is indeed a logical fallacy to suggest that all forms of socialism, authoritarian or democratic, are the same. Six is essentially trying to get us to believe that authoritarian communism is the same as socialism as practiced in, say, Tanzania.or Uruguay. And your point about Pol Pot, if there is one, seems obscure. What are you trying to say there? Example of democratic socialist country: UK under the Labour government of Clement Atlee after World War II. Not exactly a tyranny.

Now let's take a look at your contorted efforts to try to discredit what I said. The careful reader will note that none of it makes sense.

There you go again--trying to suggest that all socialism is some kind of tyranny. Your antics are so transparent I can't imagine anybody being taken in by them.

So you really are trying to suggest that socialism can't be democratic? Not so. Take the example of Clement Atlee's Labour government in the UK in 1946. It was socialist, in the sense of nationalizing basic industries and public utilities. It was democratic in holding free elections and preserving political liberties. And nothing Marxist-Leninist about it. It wasn't especially popular and didn't last long, but that's another question.
