So now the republicans are blaming the impeachment hearings as a reason for why trump wasn't up to speed on the threat of the covid-19.

Gotta blame something... Just as long as it's not Trump.

Hey if they are here, they are Americans too. :)

Unless you were speaking of international solidarity, in which case I wholeheartedly agree.

Not necessarily - people that are living in the US may or may not have relinquished their previous nationality or have not yet been granted American citizenship.

I don't know you dude but you look like a reasonable man. So why do you continually jump on negative stuff? Don't you know that the Cosmos hates negativity? It will send it all back to you with interest!

Errrmmm - who's the one being negative ??? - seems to me you are now being hypocritical !!!

  14. Nothing in the US compares to the industrial cities in China and Saudi Arabia (26°14'46.1"N 49°57'57.2"E) for sheer environmental apathy. Most of the US power plants are zero discharge (oddly the biomass plants get a break on dumping pollution). The regulations against pollution are very tight in the US. It's part of why over 40,000 factories were ultimately shut down; they could not be operated cleanly.

So, they were dismantled, and sent to China!

Hypocritical ... behaving in a way that suggests one has higher standards or more noble beliefs than is the case.
Negativity ... the expression of criticism of or pessimism about something

    Wots your point Vlad?

Sure, we have less pollution because we have "Big Government" regulations.

Granted, but that does not absolve 'murica of being a big polluter.

In 1980 I camped on Sand Creek Pass in Northern Colorado. It was in the off season and there was only one other camper there, in the next parking/camping spot. The place was remote and no fee was required. We called it Boondocking. So, after I was there for a little while and was adjusting my Canon AE1 camera so I could take some pictures, the man from the next door campsite walked over. He introduced himself as Louis L 'Amour the western writer. We talked for some time and he told me that he was interested in all human history and all races. He told me a friend of his was looking into an uncharted race in Asia which they were calling the Denisovan race. I think there must have been other kinds of people on this Earth and there is nothing wrong with racial awareness. Someone who celebrates human diversity is not the equivalent of another who hates based on race. I could enjoy Hindi Food one day and Somali the next and then listen to good old New Orleans Louisiana Jazz.
