I don't believe that you can rationalize an irrationality such as highlighted in my sig. For instance, Genesis 1:26,made in God's likeness (like god); 1:28, Blessed by God; ~ so God's a sinner and his blessings have no effect! Also, free will is not what god gave mankind ~ mankind was given prohibitions and "must do's" -where is "free will" given biblically to mankind?

how is it interesting at all, since a couple posts ago you said "humans would sin eventually even if adam and eve didnt"

this is the dumbest thing ive ever heard. so you openly admit that our lives are predetermined.

How can you twist truth? You can tell a lie, but thats about where it ends. Im not sure what i think of christianity, im actually not sure of anything that has to do with God and what not right now.

That is the exact point that I am trying to make here myrtje. In order to validate their religion, fundamental apologist christians falsely ascribe credence to anything that might make their theories sound feasible. So they collate data, then turn it into "evidence", even when it is entirely speculative and unsubstantiated. In doing so, they don't even know that they become liars in the process. The "east gate" lie is one such lie ~ there is no such thing as any "east gate" except in the minds of christian apologists. All the world throughout all of history knows the gate in question as The Golden Gate. But no "golden gate' is not mentioned in any prophecy, so they lie about it.

To be honest i just read the poll. Pages add up so fast in these topics, i hardly ever actually read em. So im sorry if im just repeating what youve already said. I dont know whats true about christianity and what isnt, its so frustrating, and im busy trying to figure it out, although ill never be completely sure i guess.

Just make sure that you keep your mind open and don't get caught up in other people's beliefs. Truth is the most important thing, and as you search (if you so choose), you will find that the christian religion has no foundation in truth.

Everyone still has the choice that Adam and Eve had. Everyone has the choice to choose God or the Devil... most choose the Devil.... the broad road.

Please just think a little more... God does not control us but He does know our actions ahead a time and knows what our heart would truly believe ahead of time.

JesusDiedForU, will you please explain circumcision to me. That's one point in the Bible that always throws me off. In the OT, why is God so angry at people who aren't circumcised? There's no logic in it. It just seems silly to me.

you please think about what you said a little more. If we dont even need to live our lives for god to send us to heaven or hell, then we have no free will. You said yourself that WE are the ones who send ourselves to hell. Now you are saying God knows if a handicapped person would love him or not, so he judges accordingly. Which is it, do we decide where we go or does god send us there?

I tell you of earthly things and you don't believe me. How can I even begin tell you of heavenly things.

Yeah, with the experience God has given you to mold your decision. God knows what you will decide, because with God would make the exact same decision in your shoes (with the same options, ideas, etc. present within God's mind).

The fact is that God gives you the experience and the will (your will) to pursue the best course (that you can find with the experience God has granted you). So, effectively, God controls your every decision via experience that God has granted you. The natural world molds your decisions, your experience of other people molds your decisions. Think of yourself as a plinko chip sliding through the biggest plinko game of them all- life.
