FG - have no fear. Rapos and diddlers usually get theirs in jail.

Hey speaking of which I wonder if he's still Michael X now that he's no longer in danger of incarceration and therefore not needing gang backup.

Actually IG, many if not most rapes go unreported, especially in cases where the victim knows the rapist. Unfortunately, we can't say that they usually get their time in jail...

Male rape is paticularly under-reported. Possibly the most of any other crime. And it isn't hard for someone to consider why. There is a lot of stigma around the issue for male victims.

Well I mean I could have gone to the cops, but said what exactly? That I was drugged and taken by a female? They'd have laughed and said something like "you lucky dog, you." Not knowing if she had AIDS or worse made that three month period for antibodies to develop three months of serious worry. Likewise all the other blood tests, wondering if she was going to come back pregnant and decide I needed to pay child support, etc.

Most men that are raped are made victims by other men, not women.

Not that I don't see what you are saying, I can see how it seems one wouldn't be taken seriously if a woman raped you and you wanted to report it. Of course, I can't say for sure what the response would be, but it is bad enough that the social stigma's are discouraging for reporting a crime like that.

I wonder what would happen in an incident like you described (and if it is one that actually happened to you, that is a terrible thing and you completely deserve the understanding any woman or HUMAN would want in that situaiton) if the woman became pregnant after raping a man...

There just isn't many statutes, I imagine, for the situation because these occurances are so grossly under-reported.

Yup. One might say can a man be raped by a woman. Well, let me say simply this - if pregnancy nor AIDS nor wanting your first time to be with someone special, never mind being drugged at well under the age of consent mattered, I could see why people would have a hard time equating the two.

    DNA test = child support.

I've never been raped, but I have been sexually harassed during work by a female. It did make me uncomfortable, but I got over it and she left anyway. Like I said before, I'd like to beat the crap out of people who do this, but I bet I would get away with it more easily if it was a male rapist than if I beat up a female rapist!

Personally, a lot has to do with size, most women would just about have to drug a man to rape him. As far a my situation, there were times when I gave the woman a good shove to keep her from fondling me and sitting on my lap and such. I think it was all some sort of game to her. She was from a European country and at one point said that kind of behavior was commonplace there??? For example, I was sitting at my computer and she pulled my chair aside lifted up her skirt and strattled me as she sat on my lap. Things like that made me pretty uncomfortable at most but I'm pretty sure if a male repeatedly did a similar thing to a female at work there would definately be more of an issue.

I must appologize that the dialoge here has lead away from the tragic event that the first post was based on. As we continue with this diologe lets not become insensitive to the personal event which occurred to initate the thread.

    Seconded, FeelinGroovy.

    Seriously.

I apologize if I took anything away from the general healing vibe to the OP.

The same goes for me. I have much respect and admiration for the OP, and feel that she is a very strong woman. I was not able to report my own rape when I was 16 (and it was by someone I knew) and have since probably felt as bad about that as the rape itself. I will support, encourage, and have the utmost respect for any women stong enough to do that that I could not do myself. I consider men and women who do stand against such social stigmas heroes in their own right.
