I really need to pass this time... My girlfriends parents are crazy over protective and don't let her drive in the winter whatsoever, even if its a clear night with no snow whatsoever.. because of "icy roads".. I don't get it.. We live in BC, cold here is like 3 degrees lol.. But whatever i guess..

She always comes here because i have no way of getting there, i cant drive, nobody that lives here can, and she lives in the middle of nowhere so busses arent an option.. If i don't get my licences, odds are we'll barely see each other at all during the winter if i don't pass..

I feel like if they fail me agaain for another bullshit reason i'm going to fucking snap, they're really starting to piss me off.. Just a bunch of money hungry fucking douchebags that fail you and give you next to no explanation, just so they can keep testing you, and keep taking your money.. If everyone passed right aways, they wouldnt make anything..

 

I just came home from work and it took me 45 mins...normally its 20. Snowstorm. About a mile before these two hills i had to go up i started rubbing the dash board and talking to the car...cause we gotta make it up...

I turned off the music before the hills, gotta be able to hear car.

When we have a decent night snowfall, especially on weekends, its not a shock to wake up and see 4 cars parked at bottom of the 2nd hill.

First hill was pretty easy and i was surprised..

Took me two tries to get up the 2nd hill. I was 15 feet about from the top on first try, hill is probably 50yards itself, and i couldn't make it. So i held in the brake when i knew i couldn't make, tried again and just slid sideways about a foot...ok knew that would happen...

Started to back down the hill and right away i hit packed snow and my back end slid right a little, bout quarter turn, put it in reverse this time and gave it just a little gas and put me back straight on road real easy. After that had no problems all the way down.

I need to try getting up it again of course. This time going up for round 2 i was going to be coming from the other side of the road as i had a better turn going into the hill. I backed up probably 100 yards. Got up to 30 mph as its the fastest i could hit hit the corner, and as wide and illegally as needed before i got in a somewhat strait line going up and i made it, barely... It was down to the last 3 or 4 feet. When i got to the top ... oh man...felt great.

Driving adventures in the winter. Its nights like this where i must be driving a manual vehicle. Going down hills or up, i want that manual...

Also front-wheel-drive cars with 4 studded tires are a lot of fun in the winter....but yes i really want the option of 4wd....
