You could try cornwall, good place as the others are cornwall has the good beaches and nice open fields, depends if people had tents or not... sorry i'm talking to myself?!? Yeh, if you had a tent, we could camp, otherwise, I could (as living in cornwall) find a nice building to have the gathering in and around. I'll keep you posted on that, in this thread. Cheers oh any needs, adam_marr@live.co.uk
It sounds great, but i should think Cornwall is quite a way for anyone who doesnt live in Devon or Cornwall! Im in the south west but it costs a fortune to get to Cornwall by train and its a good few hours trip so ive never been Londons really easy-megabus all the way! But it would be cool to be somewhere less ew-crammed-full-of-stinky-people-and-noisyish There are fields here in floodland! But theyre usually flooded Hmm
i could very possibly be up for a day thing ... and well something June/July time would give time to save up for travel costs for 2 people.
Lakes, London, Cornwall, and any other suggestions are great.....do all of them, arrange a place and time and people will come. I'm working with a guy who owns a farm in Cheshire, we're trying to get a free festival together....as of yet there is no time so it's pointless me telling you where, but i will....soon, Augustish
I once suggested we had a gathering in Brighton. But, like my girlfriend, it didn't quite materialise. Perhaps we should start and independent gathering. Just anyone without having to go through the pillars of the forum in an otherwise ideal solution zoigan.
oooh i've always wanted to visit Brighton but haven't done so yet. i dont' mind the idea of camping either. so obviously London is out for that. wondering if it would make more economic sense to actually go some place for at least a night camping. as probably cost just as much to get some place like that as it would to get to London for a day on a side note, almost got lost in Lewisham, j0hn, earlier this week. i don't think we actually got into Lewisham. we were on the A2, and we pulled off at some exit where there is a Harvester (think that is what it was) pub. might have been a few miles before Lewisham. but i couldnt' help keeping my eyes open for rodents.
Yeah, a little diversity would be well appreciated, we're looking at creating an outdoor cinema for amateur film makers to show their work as well. It's early days yet
So you'll be showing your work? I am happy to go anywhere, it would be nice to get away from the hospital for a while! That's if I can get the time off - so maybe either plan this a long time in advance or plan it for a weekday if possible as nurses don't do weekends off!
I used to live not far from there and would sometimes head over to see a friend, it's an interesting place, probably not as bad as Brixton, although I do love Brixton! I guess it is a typical south london area.
I do like south london actually, I only realise that now I don't live there anymore. I never had any problems and would walk around in the middle of the night on my own at times! What you moving there for?
Oh a good uni! I was at King's. You'll like it I should think, if all else fails I know a couple of nurses there at the ladywell unit - they could show you a thing or two in self defence!!!!
