My uncle made deer tamales once, they were excellent. I think he mixed beef fat with the ground deer meat.

Its best with some bacon. Its dry, so adding some fat to it will liven it up..

guess these links wont work like anymore.. Expresso Love [00:10:57]

Guitar solo in Jackson Browne Stay is near the same as Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking .. just a little heavier in pros, with more tone distort. I knew I heard it somewhere..

We had a missing bunny tonight I woke up and I went to see how he was doing and empty pen. He managed to learn how to uncover the top and hop out.

So nowhere to be found we sent the dog in to flush out the rabbit. Well I'm not sure where he was hiding but bounding out into the lounge room he comes, Atreyú big girls blouse he gets spooked and run off, bunny sits there with that look of his lol.

We get him in the pen and seal it up again, my clamps on the roof and then a piece of long plastic to hold it down he's okay at the moment but it was pretty funny. He' gotten so used to the dog now he's not even phased lol. Chases him away instead. :p

When I used to eat (and cook) deer...I would 1st marinate it (over night), like Mel said...then I would bread it and fry it. Then I would make make gravy with onions - and sometimes mushrooms. After that I would let the fried, cubed deer steak simmer in the onion gravy. I'd let it all simmer (on low) no less than 1 hour...most always longer. It would be so good you wouldn't even have to use a knife to cut it. It was excellent.

Also...NOT using a buck that is so coveted by trophy killers is a big step in the right direction if you want a deer that tastes good as opposed to something you want to say you're proud you killed so you can display. The older deer (with those coveted antler points) are very tough...and really aren't used for eating...but you'll practically never find anybody admit to that.

Heat's BDay is tomorrow. The last I heard from her, she was supposed to be finishing up a round of chemo at the end of October. It doesn't look like she's been active on HF for a while.

I'm not sure if she's ever going to be coming back to HF, but it might be nice to post some good bday wishes on her profile either way.
