Unfriended

I just unfriended someone. =]
Because I don't know who they are.

 

It depends on how you express it. Having different opinions and viewpoints from my friends (online and otherwise) is no big deal. Happens all the time. But if they say something like, "I can't respect the intelligence and morals of anybody who believes X", when you've openly and frequently made it known that you believe X, then you have to ask yourself if there is any real friendship there. Or else you need to ask yourself how you define the word friend.

Refer to the paragraph above. It's all about the magnitude of the disagreement, to me. If somebody has strongly disagreed with me in a thread about some important issue that we both care deeply about, then I'm not surprised if the friend link goes away. I might even uncheck that box myself, in extreme situations.

Okay, it seems that the member is no longer allowed to have friends, receive friend requests, or receive private or visitor messages. His posts can recieve rep votes, so he isn't banned. That's the strangest thing I've ever seen here. The more I know about this, the less I understand.

They may have disabled being able to have friends on purpose, as a person did this to me yesterday. I did not even know who it was....and went to their page and they have nowhere to befriend them anymore, or anyone on their list, either...I mean nobody...maybe it is the same person you figured out.

 

I have one listed friend. It would seem rude and impolite to withdraw Irminsul's friendship.

 

I've been very standoffish about social media. But I'm reconsiddering my strategy. I may try to befriend all my friend suggestions and then befriend all those friends so my facebook grows like a virus. Infecting everyone with me. :biggrin:

Only once on this site did I defriend someone. After a week long issue and trying through pm to work out a difference, it was a last resort. The original issue did not cause me to consider it, rather the pm's did.

Oh. I'm the only one on Karens friend list that says--break friendship over to the right. But maybe that was because I was the one looking at it??

 

when you go your own list it will give the break option for those you are already friended to

 

I don't think anyone has dropped me, didn't notice if they did but it's not a race to have the most anyway in my mind.

 

I know most people only added me to look at my picture album.

I honestly think most people expect me to be a short haired dyke looking lesbian, some have said that to my face, now either someone tells them otherwise and they add me to see for themselves or they're just curious and add me to see for themselves and always, inevitably "you don't look like anything I'd of expected".

Wow, I'd kill for her hair... but not the blonde. And yes metal girl, alternative etc. Not as full on as I used to be with all the leather, black, spikes etc. but I'll still dress up for a good gig hehe.

I like long dresses now though and a bit hippie friendly look. I dunno, I'm really all over the place. One day I want to look like a respectable female, tomorrow, eh, slut will do. =p

there are different levels of bans..skip can put them in all kinds of usergroups and limit whatever privileges he wants

i suspect this case is more of a user choice though...some people just decide to up and leave and turn off a bunch of things in their usercp like messages and pm and wipe out their frinds list...the last person i seen do this was la principessa
