stupid person(s) + cheaper finances = happiness therefor - happiness / the banker + stupid person(s) = current economic environment x the consequence = shared responsibility which has obviously been rounded down??
Yup, still going on... You would be most welcome yay would be great to see u here JT... But I'm not sure we will actually see each other as I have to go home on Saturday. I will be back on Sunday eve... If u could make it Friday night, you can stay in my tent but very advisable to bring your own sleeping bag... Get a taste of occupation x
So, let me get this straight... You think that people exercising their right to protest is people is being a nuisance? I'd be interested to hear how u would exercise your right to protest, hypothetically speaking ofcourse...
rather regrettably and in all thanks to a spineless government we missed the boat on a european union referendum we should have been protesting that. rather - we have mostly the uneducated walking the streets protesting bankers capitalism themselves??? (but it does make life an easy pill to swallow doesn't it??) unfortunately the euro will fall - and i will be first to say "i told you so" things are going to get so much worse - thus your protest is one of the heart and not the brain. no offense.
so i would exercise my rights through a referendum a way that would actually change something and by means of democracy.
sorry lill missed your message, maybe see you next time I'm up if it's still going on, hope it's going well there
i am really surprised that not more peeps from the uk and on this site, are supportive of the Occupy Movement... if that's the case, i'd like to know why if you care to post...
I went down to my local ''Occupy''...in Bath, the otherday. There were only about 15 tents, but I brought them some food and had a nice chat with them. It seemed like a really chilled out and positive place, full of hope. They have music jam sessions and guided meditation and other such things quite regularly. Hows it going in London?
nice one yes, we have meditation tents and music etc... great atmosphere... we have a library and a university... workshops and kidstuff too... Finsbury Square is even more chilled out than the St Paul's site... i have been away for two days, ill, (back in the morning) and i am looking forward to catching up with the latest news, but i don't think we have come to a decision about the points (ultimatum) that the City of London gave to us in a supposed dialogue... they gave us three options: 1) leave now (arf) 2) leave in two months (to look like they are reasonable people... arfety arf) 3) if we opt for the two month stay, we must scale back the tents... (hmmm what happened to dialogue? arf) i think we have about a week left to let them know what our decision is... all in all it is an amazing experience... right mind, right heart, respectful anarchy in action... met some great people, who i will probably always know now... the public, in general, have been very supportive of us and there lies the difficulty for the Corporation of the City of London, and for the Church... have seen the agent provocateurs in action and have actually experienced and seen, first hand the attempted manipulation of the masses by the mainstream media... a funny thing happened on the 5th november march to parliament... we got to trafalgar square and wanted to turn to get to parliament, which, ofcourse was blocked by the police.. there was a bit of a crush as we tried to push through but then the crush eased up a little... i had my face painted like a Anonymous, but blue and so i got a little theatrical and started loudly with the "YOU are the 99%," (pointing at the row of 40/50 officers or so) "I am the 99%" (beating my chest) and, "WE are the 99%" (throwing my arms in the air and in a circle)... as i turned, i realised that the march had moved on and i couldn't see where to... i was on my own more or less... it doesn't sound funny, telling it here, but it was funny in my eyes at the time... it took me a while to find them again... then i lost them again, getting distracted by a member of the public who wanted to know what we were doing and why i was dressed as i was... what was also funny in the experience, but probably not so much in the telling, was (as i later found out), when many of the protesters who got to parliament square through the park, gave to police the slip... all i could see were vans filled with police going one way and then another, looking for them... it was a bit like a Benny Hill sketch... i did chuckle, but had given up by then and went to get some food and a plaster for my blisters...
not at all... i'm not even disagreeing with you. we both want to see the world made right what's so different? obviously no one actually bothered to read any of my posts proving an ironic general ignorance because i'm simply arguing the fight against power but where it actually matters. after all... the banking crisis is your plight with your greedy bankers etc. so why are people less interested on a business level - and rather a personal one when possibly the worlds greatest recession is looming and we're not prepared to defend our country?
Have there actually been people there all this time? Have you booked time off work or something? I feel so out of touch :leaving:
then i do misunderstand you... i can't understand what you are saying... sorry, it's prob me... :dizzy2: because i have no faith in the current political system, judicial system or any fucking (je m'excuse) system whatsoever, except the system that seems to work really great at the occupy sites... its more than just a system it is a process of the mind, body and spirit... :sunny: well yes! there are loads of people there all the time... it got a bit quiet yesterday, but that was the march which started at Russell Square... drew people out for the day... there were still people there though, and at Finsbury Square... i haven't had a paid job in many years... got mentally ill... getting better now... coming off sick benefits and i perceive that i now work at olsx (occupy london stock exchange)... do you watch mainstream media? they tend to misconstrue so much... there are loads of websites and threads here, regarding many occupations... it's not just the uk and the usa... this is global... it is a true democracy... a process... :2thumbsup:
