What I like the most is the lack of battle between commenters. Some of them are actually quite supportive and resourceful. You'd have to read all the comments to know what I'm talking about.

    Here's something to consider:

Then there's mention of "chicken wing syndrome" ..

Those are two little spotlights for you. I could probably comb out a few others and I reserve the right to do that in the near or far future.

The password for rational people is "evidence". Guess that won't work for you ;)

The vaccine court was created during the autism/vaccine hysteria. To my knowledge, no one has won any case that they were harmed by vaccines. The existence of the vaccine court is not proof that vaccines are harmful.

Unfortunately the medical community has shot itself in the foot with regard to credibility.

With pharmaceutical companies engaging in off-label marketing, pushing through unsafe drugs through the approval process, sponsoring ghost written medical articles, etc., one is unfortunately justified in second-guessing the motives of medicine.

This doesn't mean, however, that everything that doctors and medical organizations say is wrong. There's been a lot of medical research supporting the safety of vaccines, and there is little reason to doubt that vaccines are safe.

I suspect the reason that everyone agrees about vaccines on the mercola site is because everyone there is bat-shit crazy.

I disagree. I don't believe in "crazy" and I think that word is a weapon .. like all words like that are wielded to be. Words like

    moron
    idiot
    crazy
    nut job
    wacko
    douche bag
    ****
    bitch
    asshole
    ass fuck
    faggot
    ******
    loser
    retard
    scum bag
imbecile (rarely used anymore, and why would it be when crazy moronic piece of shit loser idiot packs enough punch and power)

I know the vast majority of people think it's okay and "free speech". I don't. I more than don't. I happen to know for a real classy scientific fact that language like that DESTROYS INTELLIGENCE, bankrupts morale and morality and then we end up with a country like the United States that's half mentally disabled and god only knows why.

And I assume that the comments are censored, as well.

I apologize. I understand that the comment was insensitive to the mentally disabled.

I don't think that we should degrade people for having a disability. I also think, however, that we should not let people who are mentally disabled guide public policy in ways that lead to very serious harm.

Sometimes calling someone stupid or crazy is worth the harm it causes if it helps us avoid disastrous consequences.

    Elected often do things because:
    1. It is politically to their advantage
    2. They don't know what the hell they are doing

The existence of vaccine courts in itself proves nothing.

Now you're just reaching and obviously full of it. You're the one "beyond facts and evidence" but nice try. Maybe by the time you're 18 you'll be better at it. Ahaha!

Ebola isn't a concern, it kills too quickly for any major outbreaks to really happen.
As a virus it isn't the most efficient at transmitting itself because it has such a short incubation period and kills so rapidly that it is only transmittable for a very short time.
That is why it has always been limited to small clusters, usually from a contaminated water source, but the contamination needs to be fresh and current.

Now if you cross Ebola with influenza and get an airborne transmission and your transmission rate and death toll rises exponentially.

To decimate a population smallpox is a good candidate because of the length of time it is transmittable relative to the length of time it takes to kill. Problem is smallpox is very likely to "escape" it's intended arena and possibly back-fire on whomever used it.

Rabies would be the best virus to weaponize if the transmission mode was airborne if you wanted to create hysteria and panic.
Considering one of the symptoms is violent behavior, it could wreak havoc on a population.

Can you say Zombie Apocalypse :afro:

I'm sure someone somewhere is trying. That was the trait in spanish flu they were looking into. Basically "resiliance".

You don't understand (don't "get it"). It is the mental attack and mental assault in the form of verbal violence (in its most extreme form is verbal war) that disables people. Harms them.

It would be wrong of me to assault and attack you (and your mind) for not understanding. It would be wrong of me to call you stupid, an idiot, a moron .. or a douche bag. But if you think it's okay for me or anybody else to talk to you like that, then it should also be okay for me to spit in your face (in its verbal form online, spelled PTHOO). Its called *progression* of violence.

Please provide an example for this statement: "Sometimes calling someone stupid or crazy is worth the harm it causes if it helps us avoid disastrous consequences."

(pretty sure mouthing off is quite exactly what CAUSES disastrous consequences .. )

For example, if you were running for public office, your opponent would most definitely point out your stupid opinions to the voters. As a result, you would not be elected, and disastrous consequences would be avoided.

Could you provide an example of when mouthing off has caused disastrous consequences?
