My oldest son is now 20 yrs old and has been vegetarian for a few yrs.
He loves animals & the environment, and a group of people he worked
with for the Northwest Youth corps were vegetarians.
Whenever he came home to visit, we always made sure there were veggie
burgers in the house for him. Even his younger siblings that eat meat liked
having him cook breakfast. He would sneak soymilk & mashed bananas into their pancakes and ask them later if they liked it. When he thinks a recipe calls for to much oil he substitutes it with apple juice or applesauce.
When he was little he liked pork chops, but now he won't even eat stir-fry
veggies if he knows that they were cooked in the same pan as any meat.
He seems to always have a supply of protein bars with him.
He has been healthy most of his entire life and he grew up to be 6'2" and
can out run all his siblings.
