Vegetarian?

Another name we haven't seen before, obviously intent on making trouble.
I am supposed to jump all over him and then the troll's "good-guy" sockpuppets
will condemn me for it.

And the animal product addicts will join in because they don't like hearing
about what awful things their diet-style is doing to the planet.

There's a reason they say: Don't Feed The Trolls. It's the only way to
get rid of them. And only the very naive expect them all to be up front
abusive. They are much more clever than that. They learn in a big
hurry that a frontal assault isn't very effective.

I'm not feeding the troll here, because I am not responding directly to
her post. May not all be the same person. Like all juvenile delinquents,
they do tend to travel in packs.

This thread doesn't seem like a good place to get objective info anymore. I'm sorry, you ARE feeding the 'troll'. Seems you can't resist, too bad, cause on the last couple of pages you are the main offensive one bringing the thread down. Although I can see others are feeding you and are indeed deconstructive as well, you're taking it out on several people that weren't. Hope you don't see this as a personal attack.

I want to have a good discussion about vegetarianism, and this guy is really ruining the mood for me with his insults to many posters including myself .

Here, here! It's not just this thread, he does the same thing on every thread that he participates in. And he has ruined every single one of them. I think he bought a lifetime membership to help insulate him from being banned. And now he's REALLY grasping at straws, saying we are probably all the same person or something... Total paranoia. Why can't some folks just get it thru their thick skulls that they actually DO annoy the majority? What's really a shame is I DON'T think he is doing it on purpose like some people do. I think he honestly believes he's better than everyone else here.

I have NO PROBLEM what-so-ever with ANYONES food choices. I've been there, done that as far as food choices goes. You name it, I've been there. Folks have all sorts of personal reasons for their consumption habits. And they are ALLOWED to have them. I DO have a problem with people who are just flat out ASSES. If he came to my home and started his nonsense, I'd toss him out. If he started his shit on my blog, I'd ban him. If I was running a public forum, I'd ban him. He seriously needs to get a grip on himself. Now he's gonna think someone compared him to JESUS for crissesake!!! No, he is far more similar to the OTHER guy. I vote for getting rid of him. He came here in October, and has started arguements, made serious insults, and threatening innuendos all over hip forums since his arrival, while projecting every negative thing he does onto others. Time to clean out the trash barrel.

 

Earthmother, you are seriously feeding Littlefoot. If I was him I was turning green of annoyance by your subtile offences as well. You're both ruining this thread in my opinion, although both probably not on purpose. I think I'll leave this thread for good..

 

Who would have known a simple question would have turned into all of this? I swear there could be a conversation about puppies and butterflies with people at each other's throats over one little remark . This entire thread should just be closed, in my opinion. I am done until this conversation actually goes back to what it was intended to be about.

 

Yes, and at this point I'm doing it on purpose. I hope he is quite offended, as he has done repeatedly to many others. I think he's behaving as a fool, so I've allowed myself to play his childish game for a while. I tend to be a mirror. Look well. Other than that, I've said my piece on the subject and I don't have anything further to add in the way of info on diet and nature. Ultimately everyone will do whatever their heart or their head tells them to do.

My advice: Smile, be happy, hug the guy next to you. Everybody's just ok. If you can't, you can't.

 

No. I don't see it as a personal attack. You are trying to be objective. I wasn't feeding
the troll because I wasn't talking to the troll, I was talking to the forum.

Most of the folks here are obviously unfamiliar with trolls and how they operate. I've
been around the Internet for a while and encountered them on several occassions.
So I am trying to educate them so that they won't be manipulated like puppets in
the future. Trolls are very, very nasty people. They generally have accounts on
many ISPs and use proxies to mask their actual IPs (Internet addresses). They
can create new psuedo-identities in a blink. And abandon them just as quickly.

I incurred the wrath of the pack leader here by identifying her and then just ignoring
her posts. You can't reason with them because they don't care about the issues
being discussed, they care about spreading misery. They all argue like lawyers,
torturing reason in the process. There will generally be an intelligent one leading
the pack, and then a bunch of crude thugs doing the dirty work. As we have
seen here.

Just like a street gang in the real world.

I have seen them destroy entire forums. They have rendered much of the Usnet
unusable.

This forum is wide open, like the Usenet. On many web forums and mailing
lists, in order to register, you have to give an email address, and then return
an email from that address, which makes it much harder for the trolls to
remain anonymous, and discourages them very effectively. (That's a
simplication of the screening process, just what the applicant is aware of.)

I do not believe I have been unfair to the people who have taken the opportunity
to take cheap shots at me because they don't like what I have been saying
about the effects of their diet-styles on the planet and its poor peoples.

Like most members of this society, they are allegedly educated, yet that
supposed education includes nothing about the realities that support their
priveleged lifestyles. What goes on behind _their_ scenes.

I realize that this is not their fault. But we aren't going to create a better
world unless people see this one for the artificial hell it is for most of
the participants. As long as they believe nonsense like "America is
the Greatest Country That Ever Was" we are going to just keep on
doing what we are doing.

You must have missed my earlier post on the subject of EarthSmother. I don't
read her posts, and haven't in a while. I don't read lunarflowermaiden's either.
That's why the troll has been bringing in her other sockpuppets to stir things
up.

Please stick around. And quit feeding the trolls Seriously. EarthSmother
is far too stupid to be real. If she was as stupid as she appreared to be, she
wouldn't be able to operate a computer.

I posted on another forum last night, and she was there in a blink. She is
obviously using the forum's search tools to track me.

millions and millions of 'vegans' in the world and we are, as a group,
far healthier than those who eat 'normal' diets. I haven't been to a
doctor, or taken _any_ manufactured medicines, in about 30 years.
The only drugs in my home are recreational. I don't get colds and
I don't have allergies and I don't get the flue. Sure, I am 'under the
weather' on occassion. The body has storms like the planet does.
But they pass.

but where their message would have been it says "[deleted]" . I also have a
pp (preferred poster) list that overrides the kill list, permitting me to see
their responses to undesirables. I have been dealing with trolls for a long
time. Very effectively.

Congratulations! You have posted by far and away the most irrelevant comment I have seen on Hipforums and I have been posting since December 2003.I think you deserve a Hipforums Award. Your statement really says more about you that it does about me. If I am so intent on making trouble, how come I have not started a war zone so far? Check my posts, all 1934 of them.

We already have a thread on the environmental impact of animal husbandry that you will find when trawling through my posts.

We all consume some animal products directly or indirectly; we are technologically locked into animal husbandry.

I don’t think I have come across anyone quite like you on Hipforums. I think you should edit all your posts that has any mention of trolls and let the admin team decide who is a troll. Just keep to the topic in question. I remember Blackie who would trivialise every thread he posted in to the point of meaninglessness and was permanently banned from Hipforums ie all his posts totally disappeared.
