I try not to eat it very often. I should go completely vegetarian, as well....but I don't think I would give up fish or eggs and dairy, so that would not make me a total vegetarian...but they do inject alot of the animals with hormones and shit to make them bigger. i also heard that animals know just before they are slaughtered and release a fear panic that gets through their entire systems, and we also eat that. Sad really.....
It's NOT unhealthy, and I don't eat meat that has hormones added to it. You say you don't buy the whole organic meat thing, but one of the big differences between factory meat and organic meat is that organic meat does not have added hormones.
Not if you buy from a small, local farm. Only store-bought, restaurant-bought, factory-farmed meat contains hormones, so I steer clear of that kind of meat.
Really, dude? That's so disgusting. You make it seem like that's all I eat. I would feel like shit if that's all I ate. I eat mostly fruits and veggies. Fruit isn't good enough for you either though, right? Too much sugar, eh? "veg·e·tar·i·an noun 1. a person who does not eat or does not believe in eating meat, fish, fowl, or, in some cases, any food derived from animals, as eggs or cheese, but subsists on vegetables, fruits, nuts, grain, etc." Vegetarians don't necessarily abstain from processed foods though. Who can honestly stay away from processed foods completely? Most food is shit. You make it seem like you've always followed this whole food organic diet, but you didn't always.
But I was really talking to Op and others who may be reading who probably eat any kind of meat and not what you eat. Most people don't eat organic hormone free "free range" meat. And I don't buy into organic meat because my reason for going vegetarian is for the animals so even if meat has no hormones, I still have no desire to consume a dead animal.
This nearly made me feel sick... www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc0wmyyguzw"]Hole-y Cow - YouTube Many don't know but I like cows. This seems like torture to me.
Yeah, tasty hormones? Don't think so. Fitzy, did you used to be one of those kids that licked the air freshener that sticks to the toilet..
I have been thinking about it too. But if you feel strongly about it then I say give it a try. Just ease your way into it. And if you decide not to be one anymore, ease your way out.
Come on, he is only joking. I HOPE. He could have bored us all with studies regarding hormones and human health - but thankfully he didn't.
That is gross Everyone fucks with cows, farmers for slaughter, the farmer’s son, college students tip them over as a prank, hollywood; what movie about twisters doesn't have a flying cow, and the mutilation phenomena arose from several dozen incidents involving cows. Hotwater
It's science, apparently http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannulated_cow Revelation 1. Cows eat grass Revelation 2 Erm... :leaving:
Cute but deadly A cow on overage releases between 70 and 120 kg of Methane per year. Methane is a greenhouse gas like carbon dioxide (CO2). But the negative effect on the climate of Methane is 23 times higher than the effect of CO2. Therefore the release of about 100 kg Methane per year for each cow is equivalent to about 2'300 kg CO2 per year. World-wide, there are about 1.5 billion cows and bulls. All ruminants (animals which regurgitates food and re-chews it) on the world emit about two billion metric tons of CO2-equivalents per year. ! According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) agriculture is responsible for 18% of the total release of greenhouse gases world-wide (this is more than the whole transportation sector) Hotwater
