boca chix patties are the bomb!!!!!! im not sure about all boca products but i know the chix patties dont have egg whites, as morningstar farms do
I haven't tried the spicy variety...not sure if the store here has them but I'll look try this~ 2 frozen BOCA Meatless Original Chik'n Patties 2 tsp. country Dijon mustard 2 tsp. horseradish sauce 2 lettuce leaves 4 slices Italian bread, toasted 4 tomato slices MICROWAVE patties as directed on package. MEANWHILE, mix mustard and horseradish sauce until well blended. PLACE lettuce on 2 of the toast slices; top evenly with tomatoes, patties and mustard mixture. Cover with the remaining toast slices.
I love the morning star "Riblets". Those are really good. The corn dogs are also really good. All the boca burger stuff is delicious.
I do like Morningstar; however, I tried their bacon at one point, and it basically tasted like smoked cardboard. I was not a big fan of that.
well i can say that its easy for everyone but i don't do fake meat products... i stick to veggies and my favorite pizza
www.candlecafe.com Great organic vegetarian restaurant in NYC. This restaurant was rated one of the best vegetarian restaurant in NYC.
I've always wanted to try it but no one else would go for it so I'd have to eat a full thing and it looked big. I might be able to convince my boyfriend though, I mean I DID turn him into a vegetarian in the first place lol I'm pretty open minded about trying veggie stuff and I end up liking most of it, except the bacon or whatever it was. Depending on how it's prepared tofu can be great!
I think Morningstar is for SURE my favourite mock-meat brand. Next would have to be Tofurkey. Smart Ground is pretty good too, but only if Morningstar isn't available. I think Boca products taste like ShiT!
I like quorn, they do yummy fillets and nuggets and things like that, oh and awesome mince! I try not to eat too many meat subs, but when you live in a omni family...
my favorite is mornigstar chik'n strips and patties. i tried some boca sausage and i thought they were terrible. i think any fake pork tastes terrible but thats me, you could be different. my favorite burgers are morningstar tomato basil pizza burger but its got cheese so if youre vegan, srry. i once dipped the chik'n strips in fry batter made from flour and water with some spice in it and fried them but i cooked them a little too long but they were pretty good. if you want you can go to www.peta.com and order a vegatarian starter kit which has some cool recipes and a few interesting facts about animals.
I am not sure if anyone mentioned this or not since it is not really a food but more of a condiment. I could not live happily without Braggs Liquid Aminos. They are vegetarian and so tasty. I use them on rice, in soups, stirfrys, etc. You seriously cannot go wrong with them. Start with a little first though because it can become overwhelming after a bit. It tastes like a very light soy sauce all most. Anyway, good luck on your journey! Namaste
I went to arizona last week on a vacation. I was told to check out two vegetarian places...D'lish in Sedona, AZ and Macys in Flagstaff, AZ...Both places were great. I wish there were more vegeterian restaurants in New Jersey....
I made some awesome steak quesadillas using those the other day. They are really really good, I thought they might have a weird texture before I tried them, but not at all.
