RC ProAm rocked! And of course Castlevania... Anyone ever play a Colecovision? My cousin had one and I remember Zaxxon, Ladybug, Smurfs, Tank. Awesome fun!
hell i remember before pong came out. and seeing my first zaxxon in a video arcade. and 'tank' with the vector line graphics, when home pc's were 8 bit and having 8K of ram was a 'big' machine! digdug, frogger, and the classic pak-whatever. sigh. i was over 30 in 1980. =^^= .../\...
Yeah, I love the old games. Super Nintendo is probably still my favorite system (Though I sold it a while ago with all my awesome games...That was really dumb...). It's pretty cool when new games have nice platform stuff in them (if they're well made). Ya know what I miss? Scores!! I mean some "modern" games have them. But it was cool when games were all about getting that high score and competing with friends over it. Last "modern" game I remember having fun competing over scores was on Metal Gear Solid 2: Substance, playing the VR missions and trying to get over each other scores. Hehe, guess we didn't have much else better to do back then .
Does any remember when you used to be able to flip the score over on them? Satan's Hollow was such a great game. "The Dark Scrolls warn of the perils of Satan's hollow. He, the Prince of Darkness, reigns over an infernal underworld so abhorrent, the grotesque gargoyles who safeguard his lair cower at his clovenhoofed approach. 'Tis he who rules surpremely his domain, by twisted swirls of flame and obediant creatures so wretched, no mortal dareth traverse the Bridge of Death crossing the River of Fire. Beware him. He is darkness, he is the omnipotent demon Lucifer, he is SATAN OF THE HOLLOW."
I just had a thought. Remember those old PC games for kids where you would click on things and you usually had to solve some sort of problem. Those were cool, hehe.
My favorite Arcade game was Gauntlet!!! I remember when that first came out there were lines waiting to play. Oh, and Dragon's Lair was pretty neat too!
My dad used to have the old Pit-Fall and Frogger, and man, I loved those! And of course Pac-Man and Donkey Kong!
Yeah, I have those on my Commodore 64...and would you believe its set up on my desk in my room. Sometime's I urge to play older games. Some of which were greatly under rated and should be remade for the pc. I usually go for the RPG games, always thought you get your money's worth with them, they take longer to solve. I remember Gauntlet 2 in the arcade, there was a hidden level, and whoever found it got 50,000 bucks. I do miss the old days when you can play an arcade game for only a quarter, and not for like 30 seconds either. Heck, one quarter for me, and I'll solve some games playing for hours. Peace everyone
