well it has all worked out the neo-nazis are now hated by everyone and the ussr is gone. The only way it could work out better is if there were no war in the first place.
yeah but not like 9.99% of the gobel population I dont hate russians I mean not all of them are commies just like all germans are not nazis(though I gess they were at one time but thats because they had no choice)
I would be warned not to forget that, a man can change his reality through choice. Detatchment. Sacraficing the ego. Going with the flow. Most importantly the oppurtunity to change ones self I now there is one chance out of infinty to achieve peace on earth, but the only thing needed is that one possibility.
So what's your point? We've done some horrible things in our history, so if another country does something horrible we should stand by and do nothing? People like you condemn this country when it takes action and when it doesn't.
Yes thats right even more when a communist dictator have been in power for 40+ years and only 90 miles away.
Maybe their invasion of China had something to do with that......Mukden Incident, Rape of Nanking........
your argument doesn't seem to be present, you wrote a circular statement that came back upon itself.. and you didn't read my response properly because there wasn't a suggestion. As for the Atom bomb, they only people reponsible for are a bomb being dropped are those that drop it... besides which the war was already as good as over and it was only dropped to intimidate Russia and to aquire some pointless evil revenge. This I might add was dished out to a population that would have had largely little fault for there countries alliance with Germany.
Sure the war was already as good as over, all we had to do as an alternative to dropping the bomb was to invade Japan, and deal with the fanatical suicidal resistance we met on every island we captured from them, except now we would have had a civilian population coming after our troops with anything they could use as a weapon. Did the kamikaze raids teach you anything about the mindset of the Japanese during the war? They were an army of suicide bombers, willing to die for their emperor god just as long as they took as many Americans as they could with them. Only an official surrender by Hirohito could have stopped their resistance. With the atom bombs the Japanese were facing a destruction they couldn't fight against, thus leaving surrender as the only option. An invasion would have been met with fanatical fighting, doing much more destruction to Japan than the two atom bombs did. The decision to drop the bombs was not easy, and Harry Truman has been criticized by many ever since. On the other hand if we had not dropped the bombs and invaded, suffering many thousands of casualties, he would have been criticized for that too.
