"After all, the Germans voted Hitler in. "

Actually, germany never voted hiter into office. he kind of just appointed himself as dictator. germans didn't do anything about it, because they thought he was good. they didn't know what he was really doing, until it was too late to stop him. they never voted him in though.

and as to the 50 million dead thing.. did you even study wwII? hitler killed alot of those people. have u forgotten the millions of jewish and german people he slaughtered? and he would have killed more, had people not fought him. plus, to add a modern point on this, people who live in germany today, feel terrible about what hitler did, and have appologized plenty of times. i think you need learn to ignore bush. and go back to highschool, take a history course, and study WWII.

Here is a more general outlook . by 1939 something some where was going to bust. if not Hitler in germany . Japan was going anyway . or Stalin in Russia . even Italy migh have invaded a small island . you get the idea. The USA would been the last since it was so rich in natural resources. and we allready stole in a sense the panama canal. was the war worth it ? for the USA sure was. and even the Russians. had the atomic bomb never invented we would allready had major war with russia by 1947 or 1950s. it was the atomic bomb that put world wars at a halt . and even then we came close several time from nucking each other to dust.

    1. The use of the atomic bomb saved the lives of millions of people because at the time we were fire bombing cities and killing many thousands of men, women, and children. The people of Japan had been taught to fight to the last man, they would not have given-up until most of the population was dead. [Use of DEATH BEFORE DISHONOR to control a people]

    2. WWII was about freedom. This nation was founded on the idea it is better to be free than safe. The world is not a safe place, sometimes it's time to fight. We have done well to fight our battles overseas. America has not had troops killing our people (except for our own guys at riots) in a very long time.

The point is these actions were the result of very careful planning on our part. By meeting the bad guys on their land, our homeland has been spared blood running in the streets. Just think how we would of reacted to an attack like Hitler using the V2 rockets on London. We would have killed half of the German population as soon as we got the atom bomb! I mean, Pearl Harbor was only about 2000 men. Just think what would of happened if we were taking revenge for 200,000.

But, Bush..... that's just about money. They don't give a damm about our freedom or safety.

Mein Kampf (My Struggle) was initially published in two parts in 1925 and 1926 after Hitler was imprisoned for leading Nazi Brown Shirts in the so-called “Beer Hall Putsch” that tried to overthrow the Bavarian government. Here Hitler explained his racist, anti-Semitic vision for Germany, laying out a Nazi program pointing directly to World War II and the Holocaust. He envisioned the mass murder of Jews, and a war against France to precede a war against Russia to carve out “lebensraum” (“living room”) for Germans in Eastern Europe. The book was originally ignored. But not after Hitler rose to power. According to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, there were 10 million copies in circulation by 1945.

    Hi,
In 1973 I went into a tourist bureau in Heraklion Kriti (Crete) for to ask some directions? Well there was this NAZI type guy there in jodhphurs and a riding crop (no shit!) sneering at my assumptions (these were the days of the Colonels). It was precicely then that I realized that the US was NOT the center of the world. YES... the US was right to have oppossed NAZIism in the fourties...
