for everyone telling u to take the bands out.
they arent really necessary but i found that it helped.
i left mine in for a month after they were put on.
i switched the bands every week.
but where the bands were, i have loops.
so if u like loops theres how to get them.

loops happen by themselves, but a safer better way is beads, they work like bands but safekly can be left in forever, are decorative never destroy knots they do make loops though and never rot or get swallowed (well, typicaly dont get swallowed, but if they do they dint become a sticky mess at least)

I dont have any pure tea tree oil, but i just ordered some dr bonners tea tree oil soap, so i could try and use that on my face. And WOW ruberbands are a huge bitch to get out, at least for how tight mine are, its damn near immposible to get a grip on the ones at the roots without taking some hairs with it, and a few of mine were alrady starting to become problems, im glad i got the jump on taking them out. SE what kinda beads should i use, cuz i have sections of all diff sizes and dont really wanna spend a fortune on ten diff sizes of beads

Personally I'd use something like twine rather than spending money on beads when your dreads are gonna be changing size for a while.

    No worries :)

The bead thing was just my view though! Lots of people use beads from the beginning...but for me, the act of deciding on a bead and worrying if it would be the wrong size is abnormally complicated because I'm stupid :p So twine seems a quick compromise :)

    peyote stitches
\buy a ton of seed beads
make petyote stitches of all sizes
    use em.
if u decide to remove em someday simply snip the string or fishing line holding em together and they fall right apart
