I am totally fine with her being Islam, it is when she goes around insulting others that I don't like. Like I said I know many muslims.

 

I think, just like with most religions, islam can be differently experienced for different people. Perhaps she will leave islam as a whole when she finds out certain aspects of islam are misinterpretated or plain abused by certain muslims or perhaps she will become milder and more selective/personal in her religious convictions. I hope for every muslim they can accept that their doctrine has no place in politics, like a constitution since you can't MAKE other people follow a belief that they do not share. But this is really not what this thread was about.. so excuse me.

 

I just went to dogpile, and yes, it does use google anayltics.

duckduckgo and startpage do not log or use LSO. Duckduckgo uses javascript.

Of course if you're not encrypting your isp is still sharing everything. Startpage also uses javascript. I would turn that off except for site that need it.

Keep in mind that if someone on hipforums uploads a video from youtube, there will be LSO's(trackers) or pixels/beacons on those. And the sites that duckduckgo and startpage will link you too aren't protected.

I recommend a couple addons.

Noscript, ghostery, adblock and adblockplus, betterprivacy, and quickjava.

Leave javascript enabled on quickjava, and in noscript allow a few sites which you use regularly for things like video/media.

I allow youtube and pandora.

If you're concerned about government indirect espionage, that can be defeated too, but that's much more involved.

Condoning Jihad is what will get you labeled as crazy. Jihad only involves the forced spread of Islam, and in that way, Christianity has a history very similar to that.

I knew of the first two parts. I had honestly never heard of Jihad in the context of peacefully demonstrating for social change. It's pretty interesting linguistically.

But socially a word that can mean war against non believers and peaceful demonstrations will almost always be interpreted towards the negative connotation unless you add some context, which you did not.
