havent worn one since 2003 .. my dad used to have a tradition of wearing a friends watch after they passed away .. but it died with him. I still have my old mans watch and his sailors time piece... probably a good watch. and a few indiglow originals around..

"Me and Sal, we know time" That's a line from On The Road by Jack Kerouac, which is repeated several times through the book. It's always stuck in my head for some reason. I think he was trying to say they were in touch with the moment, living life as it happens, and not reflecting on the past or dreaming about the future.
I always hated when they said the little hand at school because their clocks hands probly had the same mass. The hour hand was shorter but it was fatter. And as a second grader if you asked who was bigger I would have said Eric is bigger than me despite me being 4 inches taller than him and us both being the same weight.
when i've had a cell phone, and in todays world, if i live very much longer in it, i will undoubtedly sooner or later find myself with another, checking the time, usually to see how long until the next bus, is pretty much the only use i got out of the damd thing, most of the time. second to that was simple stupid free games like tetris, to pass the ime while waiting. so basically watch became cell phone. for me. except i have this folding digital alarm clock thing, its small and light and plastic, and keeps reasonably good time, that i carry in my pocket, as a pocket watch. i got this thing several years ago. i forget which store. i think it might have been a wallgreens. it has a folding cover like a folding phone does. but its just a watch. and it also takes one ordinary AA battery. instead of those pill shaped one and you don't have to take it apart to replace it. it does have an alarm and a light. just no tetris game, nor automatic update from the international time standard.
