Trespassing and stealing someone else's stuff--no matter what it is--is wrong, plain and simple. In May I got a call from a person I know (Steve, an ex-neighbor). He's disabled, in a wheelchair, and a real nice guy. He uses marijuana for pain management. It's safe, non-toxic and doesn't "zombie-ize" him like the dangerous drugs prescribed by the V.A. Dr. (he's a veteran). His previous care provider married and moved, and Steve asked me if I'd grow him some marijuana. It's perfectly legal in CA. to do this if the person has a Dr.'s recommendation, which Steve has. I didn't want to grow them on my prop. My legal pot plants are in an enclosure (chain-link fence) so I figured I'd stick some out in the woods. So I spent $100.00 for the planters & potting soil and stick 7 plants out in the woods not too far from home. About a month ago they were stolen. I talked to some friends and we're gonna do what we can to help Steve out, but he's probably going to have to buy some, and he doesn't have much $$. He lives in a tiny 3-room shack and he's on disability so he doesn't have much $$ to spend. So whoever stole the plants means they have negatively affected someones life. Depending on how much we can help him, Steve will have to cut expenses such as giving up satelitte tv service (his main source of entertainment and we're so remote we only get 3 regular channels and that's on a good day) or eating crummy food. The person who the OP stole from may have been growing on his own prop. for medicinal purposes. So some kids gonna smoke this guys pot he stole for laughs but at the expense of someone's pain and suffering. And like I said earlier, what the OP has done, in essence, is slap someone across the face, and sooner or later someone's gonna slap him back. I hope whoever hits him slaps some sense into him. Because if you steal someone else's shit, someone will steal your shit.
Also, keep in mind you're not as anonymous on the internet as you think you are. The gummint likes to know where there are large caches of marijuana growing. You've admitted (and submitted evidence, in the form of photos) that there are such caches near where you live, and you are in possession of some of them. If anyone from the DEA happened to come across this thread, they could easily get a warrant requiring the board administrator to hand over records containing your IP address, and any other personal information you may have submitted when you registered for this board. And then... well, if you want to talk about "stealing someone else's shit", when it comes to weed, that's exactly what the DEA is best known for. Just something to keep in mind.
dude thats badass, i dont give a fuck if u stole em, I woulda done the same, and so would anybody here if they found plants keep on keeping on!
Tell me what you think? Are you kidding that looks like some damn good chronic thats for sure. Just don't get caught stealing it, just gradually take some ever so often.
Perhaps "anyone here" would have taken the plants and failed this test of ethics. That does not change the fail into a pass. Even though it was an unusualy tempting situation. It is wrong to take plants that aren't yours. If in the OP situation, I hope that I would find the moral strength to resist temptation.
Fucking bullshit. At this moment I know the exact location of many many thousands of $$ worth of weed is growing and the approx. location (within a hundred yards) of prob triple that. But I'm not gonna touch it 'cause it ain't mine. People who steal either: A) will spend or have spent a lot of time in prison and/or B) Don't know right from wrong and have to have the difference bitch-slapped or ass-fucked into them. Cause pain to people who have never done you harm and the same thing will happen to you.
It's easy to make that argument when you cannonize the individuals who grow simply because of the fact. What's more, it's hard to take a proponent of marijuana use seriously if that person is not able to apply the concept of situational behavior to anything beyond what appeals to them.
I'm not sure what you mean by this? Marijuana use (because it is illegal) requires a higher sense of ethics than other activities because there isn't law to guide us. Situational ethics doesn't forgive people for their weaknesses. Situational ethics is a way of balancing principles. In different situations, the principle "stealing is wrong" needs to be balanced against different principles. "Stealing is wrong, but the baby needs food" and "Stealing is wrong, but I want to get stoned." are different situations. I think that "feeding babies" outweighs the principle of not stealing. "Getting high is fun" doesn't. I am not judging the soul of the OP. I did judge his actions (as reported by him) and find them lacking. I hope he will better the next time he is tempted.
That's a good point you make about marijuana users having to be self-reliant to maintain order since it is really a lawless endeavor. I really wish more users and non-users alike would consider that idea. What I meant by the comment that confused you was directed at a common argument that marijuana users have against those who frown upon their lifestyle: namely, that it's perfectly fine to smoke marijuana if the situation is conducive to doing so safely and without negative consequences whose manifested nature extends beyond black ink. Accordingly, taking some of the plants that the topic starter stumbled upon could prove to be a harmless act if, upon gathering more information about the situation, it turns out that doing so really would not have any ill-effects. So, to be more concise, it was really an exercise in pointing out a double standard before putting the pragmatic side of it to use in the context of this discussion. Hopefully that was a little more clear.
I thought I had it the first time but now Im lost. -Just dont steal boys an girls! cause Ya never know when theres gonna be a KRAZY mother fukker like from the hills have eyes just about to grab ya. and Ya never know, with these lawless growers an such, they just might eat ya !
