I agree with Trish on his possible motives for not saying anything. I also agree with Lynsey's approach in handling it.
so, here's the update. job's over. but there was some weird miscommunication 2 weeks ago, his boss told him that she was going to lay him off, but then they talked about it a few day later and he was told that they would find more work for him. so he didnt think his job was done. but apparently it is. he was at work for half the day on friday before his boss went and talked to him. i guess everyone at work knew that he was laid off except for him. :& i guess there were some really strange workplace dynamics there. it's a small family owned business and they just kind of do whatever they feel like doing.
