Death-child support is never even enough to even pay for the kid's expenses so I doubt she's gonna be hitting up the salon. She'd have it a hell of a lot easier financially speaking if she married you. I would NEVER want to be a single parent seeing how stressed my mom was and how her stress made me so type A and that with with a lot of family support.

So something must really be wrong in your guy's relationship or else she is not thinking with her head on straight.
And no there's no way for it to directly go to the kid. I am sure it will directly go to the kids already. and fyi it's income based. If you make 30k a year you only have to pay like 300 bucks a month and they've never been married and I doubt he makes enough at his age where he will have to pay alimony. I know this sounds so shallow but unless I was 100 percent secure that the guy wouldn't divorce me I would never get married to anyone who did not make enough to pay alimony...if you think about it you have a baby give up your career he could find a younger woman and then what the hell happens? and having been 'the younger woman' before I am just waiting for karma to bite my ass later in life.
I am sorry about your sittuation Death but you can be a part of this kids life. You need to find out your rights as afather and be excited about the baby with or without her as a partner. Time to be a man dude and step up. You created it...now own it. Pet peeve of mine is men who try to get out of their responsibility. I had a boyfriends suggest an abortion to me before when I thought I was pregnant and that was the end of things in my head as soon as I found out I had a false positive or a miscarraige. I know you suggested an abortion to her before. I lost 100 percent of respect for the guy after his reccomendation and even starting seeing somone else the night he suggested it. I can't hang with little boys, not for me. So I suggest you change your attitude and hers will change as well.

I was so mad when I thought I was knocked up and there was no proposal that I almost married my ex fiance that weekend just to stick it to the dude who impregnating me. that's why she hates you dude and I'm sorry I thought you were cool as hell until now but I hope she gets your ass for every dime you make. And my personal experience is playing in here big time so I apologize if this sounds harsh. But if your man enough to impregnate her you should be man enough to put a ring on her finger the night you find out.

 

If it's the baby then what was with that stupid, "visitation is stupid I'd rather not see the baby" shit? Grow up man. Man up, pay your money and get split custody with visitation. It's not that big of a deal. I'm glad my dad had a better attitude than you because he was definitely paying $400 per kid(2 kids), every two weeks and got to see us 5-6 weeks every summer.

Because it's just messed up. She's his girlfriend and got pregnant with his child and he won't make an honest situation out of it. I admire him for not trying to force her to have an abortion as my ex did with me and thank god I miscarried. I thought all men would want to marry me as soon as I was pregnant with their kid. My ex fiance wanted to get married the night he found out I was prgenant (I had complications and was no longer pregnant) and I assummed all men were like this. But yeah after what happened to me in September unless a guy wants me bad enough to want me forever if I am pregnant he should not venture inside of me. I thought that was a given but obviously in today's society there's a class of men who unfortunatley are not the least bit honorable. It's about honor and if you can't honor your commitment (and arduh sex produces babies) then imo you're np better then a 10 year old boy who doesn't have the ability to impregnate.

Oh I am so fucking mad right now. so mad. I need to get out of this thread. This is some anger I thought I was way past but this is making me really fucking hateful right now.

 

After seeing her behavior and his, I do not believe either one of them is ready to marry anybody. No offense, but that's just one more divorce this country doesn't need. I'm very, very, very serious about marriage. I believe marriage should be for life. I'm tired of seeing one and two year marriages etc. makes me want to fucking slap people. Getting married because you're having a baby etc is fucking stupid. Doing it just because it's the right thing to do, no matter what the cause, is a waste of time and money. You get married to spend your life with somebody, not because you fucked up.

Sorry. I have extremely strong feelings on the matter of marriage.
