A cat killing dog usually isn't vicious to Humans/ other animals from what I've observed/ heard...

 

What about respect for the lives of the various cats Jerry? Just wondering why their lives are worth less than the life of the dog?

I don't see why you guys are claiming the dog went crazy. The dog went dog.

Did you say you didn't try to stop him though? If you saw him doing it, then's the time to step him and teach him agressive behavior isn't okay.

My roomate has a guide wolf, and the guy loves cats. He really respects them.

This coming from the guy that just said he'd burn somebodys house down . If you allow your own dog to eat your own cat that's one thing, but if your dog eats another persons pet, he gets what he gets and so do you.

 

that would be hilarious, jerrys dog kills a cat, so someone kills his dog, so he freaks out and burns down their house and goes to jail for 20 years.

my sisters rotweiller (SP) ate her himalayen (SP) cat on Friday. Poor little bubba. My sister was hysterical when they found bubba.

I might be biased on this discussion since I like cats more than dogs, but I don't view one life as more important than anothers, and if I had an animal eaten by someone else's animal, you can bet I'd want some kind of justice.

I can remember when i was like in 5th grade i was outside playing with my kitten and this guy was walking his dog and the damn dog came and grabbed my kitten by its head and broke his neck. The man didnt even stop.


I have had bad luck with cats in the past. I have accidently shut the cat in the car door, was really yuckky. then i have dried a cat in the dryer (learned in highschool always to look in dryer before i start it). Not on purpose of course cuz i love cats.

 

That happened to a friend of mine, she too accidently turned on the dryer when one of her cats was inside, it was so horrible. That is too bad about your experiences.

 

Let me start by saying that I respect all life, love animals and have worked in rescue for almost 11 years. I worked at the NY Ave animal shelter in Washington DC. It was my job to transfer the animals from the kennel to the euthanasia room. We put 10-15 pits down per night, EVERY NIGHT. Not one of them would I have trusted to turn my back on, All of them had attacked a person or another animal. three of them got their teeth on me, though not well. I think the humans who train them to be viscious should be put to sleep alongside them. To this day I will not get near one, family pet or otherwise.

I hated that job but when you have kids to feed you take what you can get.

 

on a happy note, whenever i drop into my parents house, the cat and dog are sitting next to each other curled the exact same way on the couch staring off into the backyard....but of course, I like animals that are under control, not wild animals that shouldn't be in a house..

my parents dogs and cats do that too.

The thing with my sisters dog is that someone gave her to them, she wasnt used to cats. Had they grown up together, this probably would not have happened.
