I don't see this as either/or, especially as different dates are being considered.

well, I saw the wedding thing as more of a pre-wedding reception/camping thingy....Have a big party out somewhere centrally located for a couple of days...You'll have to excuse my previous hormone-soaked post....everything seemed futile....even putting on socks....:D

HAhahahahha! It's a good thing you're a barefooter then! You know we are in for a west coast gathering - we won't be able to make it to Colorado.

Well, we also have to start scoping out areas that are big enough for the whole party, and we have to figure out who all lives in Cali/Oregon/Washington that could possibly make who might not be seeing this thread....I wouldn't mind this being as far away as mid/south oregon, but need to confer with Mr. Sphere to be sure....Lots of planning to be done though....Good thing we have plenty of time! Last time, with only three months, nothing got done!

Hey, that works for us - we are tent campers. And we are willing to reserve a site as well once a date is finalized. You shouldn't have to bear the whole burden, but we want to be sure to get a block of campsites. I can always give you my e-mail and name, if it is the same reservation system that WA uses (I think it is). If so, they will not let you reserve more than one site yourself without the other partys name and addy or e-mail. Maybe a group campsite if they have them?

    Well, I was wondering....

Our wedding is Saturday, August 12th. Brian's not going to be able to ask for two sets of days off in a row, so if it could be like the Thursday/Friday before or the Sunday/Monday after....And if it could be closer to a more central road system, like I-5 that runs from Canada all the way down the Cali coast. I know most people would be travelling close to I-5 so it would be tons easier to get to.

Tent-camping is a wonderful idea. Lots of people could fit into a small area for way less money....

But if we could look into those things, that would be great. :D

Well, heres the thing, all the spots near I 5 are kinda crowded, and i was talking to a friend of mine in the forest service and he says there hasn't been a nymph, (the bugs guys sorry, :) or helgimite count down in the stream for a few years, and theres a good chance if a few of us were willing to spend a few hours a few days doing that we might just get to camp free and get a little VIP treatment to boot, we just have think of a club name and set a date so i can submit a purposel, since it wont cost them anything and it benifits tourist it should'nt be a problem.

Well, I am unsure whether we can take time off, so am unable to confirm we will be there if it is a Thursday and Friday or a Monday thing. Are you sure you want to do it the weekend of your wedding? Seems like alot on your plate? How about we camp the weekend before?

well, I just want to make sure that Brian can be there, you know? He's going to be the lowest guy on the totem pole, and with taking time off for the baby AND THEN the wedding, asking for another day off for a camping trip seems like a very wrong thing to do. I'd hate for him to miss out. As far as the wedding, that's not a very big deal to me. To me, it's a party. Actually, I'll admit to being way more excited about the gathering than the wedding.
