I was going to tell him that the Trump administration, by way of the state department, has registered sanctions against lawyers of the world body which investigates war crimes. The world war crimes tribunal and the international criminal court has registered complaints and started investigations for all sorts of torture and murder incidents related to American activity in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now instead of cooperation, Trump and his pals are resisting international law. This attitude is the sign of criminal conduct, as in a cover-up; and, it will cause the rest of the world to see America as an outlaw nation. Respect for America has diminished during Trump's time in office.
International law means humane treatment for people like your prisoners of war. You would have to provide a Muslim with the Quran and allow them to pray. And you certainly can't beat them for no reason or water board them. Trumper's don't think like that. It's funny to torture them and offer them only pork to eat. If they don't like freedom food screw them.
It's promoted as well-meaning, but let's be honest, it's gifts to constituents in exchange for votes. One could argue it also helps people escape poverty if that had happened. But the biggest effect was to produce a burgeoning entitlement class signing up for benefits, taking drugs, protesting/looting -- anything but studying, self improvement, working to get themselves off the dole, and making positive contributions to society. My position is they'd feel better about themselves and be happier if they were productive. But when the world owes you a living, it's kinda hard to force yourself to get off your ass and do something useful. The private causes would actually help people do exactly that. Help them get ahead personally by coaching them through the essentials. It's difficult and expensive for government to coach people into becoming productive contributors, so they just feed and house them like animals.
How do you feel about entitlements for the rich? Do the rich self improve? Do the rich make a positive contribution to society?
Getting back to the subject of dictatorship in America, here's an article pertinent to the subject maybe our Trumpsters can reply to. Please address the content and spare us the critique that it appeared in the Daily Beast and is written by an American Muslim. I’ve Resisted Calling Trump a Fascist. Not Anymore.
Fed them. Put them up. Bought them clothes. Set up interviews for them. Reinforced teaching of right and wrong, good behaviour from bad.
Yes, I have noticed these Trump followers like Mexican food but will not accept another Mexican through the southern border.
So the answer is you won't address the content and dismiss the article because of the source. Right wing ignorance at its finest!!!
