today my dad had his hip replacement surgery, he's ok but in some pain, has a morphine button though which is good, surgery went fine according to the doctor and he should be out of hospital by friday or saturday

Today i learned that painting a room is hard, also you should have masking tape for the roof and windows

Dude, paint the ceiling first, make sure you run it down onto the walls a little bit (if your using a roller you'll still need to cut in round the edges with a brush) Then paint the walls, steering clear of the ceiling, again cut in with a brush but you have to be careful this time. If you've got skirting boards or other woodwork your going to gloss make sure you run the emulsion paint onto them a bit. Finally gloss the woodwork, again cutting in carefully.

This way you minimize the amount of being careful and don't spend 10 minutes trying to snipe a gap in the paintwork at the head of wall because you missed it both times, same goes for gaps between the wall / woodwork, you can gloss over emulsion but you can't emulsion over gloss.

Studying math again and I'm feeling good about my exam today. I've done the end of semester exams from the last two years and didn't have any problems so hopefully I should do all right on this one.

Just took delivery of a Chinese valve headphone amp kit. It's pretty basic but the output stage is pure valve (uses a single dual triode) OTL so it's got some audiophile cred. It's a low tension space charge valve and the PSU appears to be a buck - boost design bit it's regulated to fuck so it shouldn't be too bad. (runs off 12v AC, puts out + / - 30v DC and 6v for the heater) I'll post pics when Ive got it all assembled and mounted on some acrylic or something suitable. It's also a great excuse to go buy a new pair of cans.

Back when I hated the stuff my mom
used to put pineapples and oranges in it and I still couldn't do it.

Haven't tried it in years though, have to give it a shot.

Although, I do fancy a few drops of menstrual blood in my stew I've never thought about trying with the ol' cottage cheese.

I undedicate this day about eating. Now it's dedicated to holding the food in my belly down.

Had a stress OMG WTF IS GOING ON with my LIFE! day at school.
If I knew if/when we are moving stress would be gone.

Luckily I have grapes and tea, and happiness.
