Thanks Daisy! I just got this shirt at the thrift store the other day; I think its my favorite summer shirt now. :)
I am so in love with my steampunk hat. I'm wearing it at this very moment!
I sewed a bustle out of some old lace curtains, altered a velveteen skirt and found a lace blouse with a ruffle going down the front for the rest of my costume. I'm pretty proud of how it all turned out.

This evening I went to a 'party'... I had a feeling it was going to be one of those slow.. badly hosted parties... that really awkward are boring... and it was, so me and a friend left, came back to mine and talked, had a good catch up ^^ And united on hating my ex so yay!!! That was a good night :) Oh and I got an apple pie from maccy d's. Nom ^^

And also, trying to get into the hippyish style. I'm a wannbe hippy. Why is it that all the awesome people can pull of a certain style?! Maybe its cus I'm shopping in the wrong places 0.o And maybe its cus of my functional view on clothes... DAMN does anyone know of any good sites with awesome clothes? Apart from etsy? I'm poor xD

Hey, don't knock poser hippie clothes. Patchwork clothing is really expensive, but super labour intensive. If something is handmade, it's worth every penny. :D But I do dig what you are saying greenearthgirl. Purchasing a brand new dashiki for $40 when you can get a dozen for $3 at Value Village is just wrong.

I miss working at VV. My wardrobe exploded in the few months that I worked there...it was great.
I have found a thrift store that gives you a 50% off coupon if you bring in at least one garbage bags worth of donations. So I clean out the kiddos closet a few times a year, drop it off, then shop for new stuff. Love it!

oh I totally wasn't talking about handmade patchwork and things like that. I'm was talking about buying "hippie" clothes from the Gap or Urban Outfitters stores like that.

I do mean the fiction, I havnt really seen the style of dress alot, I can remember the pm5k style which was cool, but aside from that band all the others are a blur I can only remember the fake coloured dreads, though Ive always wondered how the space rastas looked in neuromancer
