What Are You/Have You Been Doing Today.?

I just finished my second of my summer classes... and i made some really dope figure drawings over the past few weeks. and i've gotten a lot more skilled at rendering the figure in pencil.

right now i'm working on an illustration of a giant chameleon climbing a building, a la godzilla, and its in ink stages right now. i'm planning on scanning her in and doing digital color. i'm also prepping some screens for a few designs to soon be on t-shirts. i'm really excited by some dynamic concepts coming into my head these days.

i'm thinking hard about a design with a girl doing a hula hoop thing. the more i think about it the more i get excited by the concept, it has the potential to evoke a lot of energy, sexuality, dynamism, and whimsy.

also working on a design showing a moving car. i want it to be really colorful, but simple so i'm working on some color blends so that i can get 4 colors(black, red, yellow, green) onto just two screens. black on one, and the other three all mixed up, groovy, on the other.

i've been hooking up with a new girl lately, but im just kinda rushing it so soon after my break up. i'm slowing down on that front and building up some love energy. gonna be working out a lot more to keep me balanced.

Today I visited a friend who broke her shoulder and swam in her pool while she lay all glossy eyed and giggly from a codeine induced trance on a beach chair. Then I ate some of her food. I kinda felt like an asshole...like I was taking advantage of a little retarded person. But it was all good cuz she was able to laugh at her own silliness and it was actually a grande ol time.
Then I went to the gym with a friend and while we were in the pool we started talking openly about menstrual cycles...cuz we thought we were the only people in the room. I proudly shared that sometimes I enjoy howling at the moon when on the rag cuz I feel like a psychotic werewolf....plus my cycles do amazingly coincide with the full moons...even more werewolf like. Then our imaginations wandered and we created a story together about menstrual zombies on the war path...it was funnier and made more sense in person.....lo and behold some guy was standing in the hall way listening to our conversation and then popped his head in all stange like and just stared at us while we were swimming. I got the feeling he had never overheard such a crazy convo. It made me laugh hysterically on the inside while I blushed on the outside...damn indoor public pools!

Now I need to wash my hair...I think Ive been swimming way too much in chlorinated water...no bueno.

Hdh...what a hag! Im sure she didnt mean anything mean by it...it was just a very thoughtless thing to say. Or maybe she was trying to be mean? I dont know the woman. Either way.....I heart you!

Currently I am eating a bowl of cereal [yeah...so much for fasting today] however it's as the cosmos know that I broke my fasting promise cuz the rice milk in my cereal is uber sour....therefore probablly rotten. But for some strange reason I ate it all. I was just really hungry and couldnt be bothered to move my ass away from the computer screen for a new bowl. lol I have issues.

 

im counting down the days until my hols, going to paris on friday on a freerunning trip to meet the creators of the sport and im actually getting excited now

 

Whoo! Only 3 days until I am out of here. My husband seems to think him and I will be getting an apartment together and for now I will let him think that, I am so exhausted with talking to him and him controlling me.

Cleaning some more, maybe go for a walk and take photos before I leave. I'm hoping I will get a job at UPS when I return to Chicago but I doubt they'll hire me.

P.S. I drank some espresso and now I am super hyper, not good.

Roasties: Put some oil in a roasting tin (just enough to cover the bottom) and heat in the oven at about 200, Part-boil tatties for 7ish mins, tip them into the roasting tin, add salt and rosemary and let them brown yumyumyum ^^ I like to boil cauliflower and brocolli with the tatties and put them in the roasting tin too, its lurrrvely

Bought a really cute dress that actually looks ace on me for $5 at the goodwill today! Also found cute little sandals with peace signs on them for my daughter. Also scored a bundt cake pan for $.50 for the volcano cake Im gonna try and make soon. Score! Today is the last day of my week long vacation from work! boo. I had great plans of going camping, hiking and swimming in the river this past week....but...uh....have done nothing except thrift store shopping and hanging with friends and family. Oh well. It was fun!

 

Not sure what happened to all my positive energy, but it some how got sucked out of me. THings have not gone well the past few days. Gonna try and make them better some how tonight. Found out its' $450 to have our van fixed though. F'ing hubby running over a curb. Seriously.
