Thanks DV. IT's crazy. I left about 15 things in my cupboards... everything else is in three garbage bags hidden away. Wheat and/or dairy is in absolutely everything. I always knew it was in the obvious... (bread/pasta, etc) But never realized that it was in just about every soup, all sauces, even soy sauce has wheat in it... My days are now filled with preparing meals. Ew!

DV, there is tons of info on it via the webz, so just google gluten free casein free diet benefits to get a full list, but basically, there are increased urinary peptide levels which cause an opiate effect in some people... so it's like you are living a drugged life or living in a fog. Now I took this part from wikipedia... "These peptides with opioid activity cross into the bloodstream from the lumen of the intestine, and then into the brain. These peptides were speculated to arise from incomplete digestion of certain foods, in particular gluten from wheat and certain other cereals and from casein from milk and dairy produce. Further work confirmed opioid peptides such as casomorphines[7] (from casein) and gluten exorphines and gliadorphin (from gluten) as possible suspects, due to their chemical similarity to opiates."

Tons of people claim that it has helped them. The list is extensive including of course autistic children (They are the poster people for this diet at the minute), people suffering from MS, obviously celiac disease, different types of arthritis and even people that suffer from anxiety and depression.

I've been recommended to go on it for mood balance and to help my sleeping (I have not had insomnia since starting on Monday but that's only been a few days). My children have to help with one's skin rashes and the other to help his language and anxiety.

    I'll keep you posted.

ooh can't wait to see how you get on daisy. I was worried I had a wheat allergy so stopped eating it for a few weeks but then naturally went back on it and feel fine again so I think my problems were down to mind over matter and whatever stress.

Wow that is interesting, I never thought about it like that :O I'd love to go on a vegan-wheat free thing but I'd find it so hard to find something to eat that is quick and snacky. I eat little and often (or not often some days) so I can't (and most times don't have the energy to) cook for an hour or two to get one or two meals >< Ah well, excuses over xD Do keep us posted, it sounds brilliant :)

I'm ripping a load of dvd's I've borrowed from my housemate, I feels illegalol

Been tearing up DV's carpet in the back of my van:p

(Also assorted tweeter-fixing and sub-moving) shit sounds a lot better now, but it's not quite there yet. I'm getting a bit pissed off this the sub, I can get continuous bass notes as loud as I like, but I'm not getting the kick of the drums, I may try and swap it for the pink one in my mothers car, or just buy a better one, although Ive got a feeling the whole thing would benefit from a proper EQ.

Rofl epoxy a dog's nail. Mandy, is it really bad? Has it gone down to the nerve, so do you need druglols or summat to shut him up?

Made a cardigan for the daughter and now drinking sum vino.

Im pretty sad today as its my daughters 9th birthday and shes at her dads allday and tonight.I saw her for a hour this morning before she got picked up,she did'nt have to go but her dad asked and I thought,I have her 90% of the time its only fair to let him have her on her birthday now and then.
I just feel empty and I should be with her, after all I popped her out 9 years ago today so I should be celebrating with her!!
I did make her banana and strawberry pancakes for breakfast though so at least we did something together today.

usually they just clip the nail and bandage it. maybe some antibiotics. it is one of the most terrifying procedures to assist a vet in. i hated it!

today i skipped work. shit, i haven't called out in a year so they can suck it. i got my oil changed and a new serpentine belt...then i did some ethics training and painted hearts on some tights!

Played a lot with my son then started sewing this tunic out of some pretty fabric. But I am not sure if the pattern is too much. I love it though.
