i think your talking about trileptal, oxcarbazepine, and i've been on that... gabapentin, prozac, lith, klonapin, you name it and they've put me on it...

trileptal isn't all that bad... it never helped make life more manageable. im an artist too, so i understand. and trileptal didn't work because i was uninterested in little things that used to drive me nuts, source of inspiration.

im also bipolar... i know it gets tough.

this is how i was built, to be a mania of creativity, to be a sarcastic bastard to everyone who does nice thing for me just because i feel like shit. sometimes i push people away because of how intense i feel for them and it makes me nuts so i avoid them... but im also a smooth talker and clever fuckhead. when im in "the zone" i can do anything, even crawl my way out of the grave i dug for myself when i was in "a mood."

also, i was on adderal for a while too, that drug makes me nuts. instant mania, gotta love it. so much that i'd abuse it.

Happy you are trying the meds Z. You can only try it out and see if it does help you. I echo what mmg is saying about getting hooked up with a social worker. THey have a way of being much more... ah.. nomrla or less clinical than a psych. Makes it much easier for the correct words to come out. They just listen and turn your words around and suggest it in a different way. I saw one for over a year and she helped me way more than my psych did.

Today I'm taking the kids to a kiddo playdate. Also, in the past couple weeks I've built up a small social circle so I may go out and do something in this city. Exciting. =)

Today I found out that moisturisers on inflamed skin is supposed to sting... But I got a huge tub of alcohol free, hypoallergenic and fragrance free EXXXTRA moisutrising stuff for EXXXTRA dry rough skin. It doesn't sting as much as bastard vaseline/e45/asda stuff. 1 point to Bean.

today is my first day of spring break. i will be doing school work all week.

yes, it is an anticonvulsant like trileptal... def not anti anxienty like klonapin or anti depressant like prozac - HATE those.

I too was on ADHD meds but got off after a manic episode that ended in my arrest. Also I lost way too much weight and rarely could sleep... horrible for people like us, aside from coffee and teas I stay away from stimulants these days.

I am the same way, I am a creative powerhouse, but it is so god damn hard for me to get in the zone... guess we'll just see, haha.
