i literally go btwn D12 and Mamas & the Papas- i love rap and classic late 60s/early 70s rock n roll and sometimes yes, cheesy techno pop dance music - anything but country-I also just shall mention, yes, some broadway-the dark stuff- phantom of the opera (oh, my beloved Eric, the phantom, oh how I understand thee, and I think that HE is truly beautiful- a face with tells a tale of that much pain, a heart wreaking of such anger, hurt and hatred, but still with the capacity to love?) I'm sorry I'm stoned and totally branching off, this is what I do- as my daughter says, "mommy is the only person who cries for the phantom, everyone else thinks he's the villain", and i just smile and say, oh sweetheart, one day you will learn that humanity and those who have seen the evil side of it, have a perspective, that is both a blessing and a curse". I pray my daughter doesn't gain my perspective, even thought it has led me to the insight and a level of, ironically, like Dostoevsky, compassion I would have NEVER had if I had not encountered my own hardships!
