But you still implied there was something wrong with my priorities. And I'm sorry, but I'm going to defend myself. I still have no problem with you.
taxes imposed on any church that stuck its nose into politics. Tax churches who preach against scientific fact. Fund eduaction appropriately, perhaps from the taxes imposed on idiot churches. enact intelligent and fair immigration laws...enact the Dream Act immediately. Tax big oil (and end its subsidies)with the revenues going into renewalable energy research. Enforce environmental protection as if our lives depended on it. give tax credit to anyone who kicks the living BeeJezus nout of bankers/wall street freaks/cooporate CEOs who lie and exploit. subsidize toilet paper manufactures who use pictures of palin/beck/limbaugh/bush I could go on but probably shouldn't
Their rate of drug consumption including cannabis is substantially lower than the US, Canada, Britain and various other countries. It's mainly foreigners using their coffee shops. People don't want to admit it but there is just a part of the human psyche that when something is illegal it just becomes more romantic and fun to do. For example 3 years after alcohol prohibition came into effect, the number of illegal speakeasies in NYC was estimated to be 3x what the number of legal bars prior to 1920 had been. What's the point of living for 800 years if you can't smoke weed? I've literally seen this guy say Texas has a right to secede from the union if they want to. *edit* Christ I didn't even think the difference was this much http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annual_cannabis_use_by_country Despite the fact 800,000 Americans will be arrested for weed related charges this year, the percentage of our population who will smoke weed is double that of the Netherlands. Look at those filthy Canadians though, they're beating our ass.
We actually do. We were only contracted into the union for so long and we have the right and ability to secede at any time. And we'd be alright if we did because we're a big state, fairly self-sustaining. But alas, that's a different thread entirely.
It's worse in Canada. Quebec always wants to secede, and in Newfoundland, about 7/10 of the people I've spoken to want the island to be it's own country again, like it used to be. They can do it if the majority wants to, too.
Last vote in the 90's on it was something like 49.7% for it. Quebec: -Canada doesn't like it -France doesn't like it -Americans don't like it What a hated country that would be.
New Demand: Assessment of empty properties in the UK, useless street furniture and old people in 3 bedroom homes claiming winter fuel allowance.
For Britain I'd also recommend giant sun lamps around the whole country. The British seems pretty unhappy often and I think it revolves around the fact it rains every other day.
My demands would be to try out a completely different system. Raid CIA headquarters and uncover any covered up truths that they might have forgotten to tell us about. And punish them accordingly with their crimes against humanity. Shut down banks, mills, drug stores, drug labs, manipulated media, diseased cities, mass producing chemically enhanced living creatures, creation of all completely useless pathetic items. The list could go on for many hours. And maybe all the mentally Ill greedy white people haha just joking. Eventually create many, many small communes all over. And then leave all cities and join these communes run by the barter system and ruled by the laws of common sense. And they all keep their religions to themselves. With absence of money, belongings and the bible. Crime would be practically non existent, is there would be no need for it and would be impractical as it would hurt the community. Dont know if I covered everything this is the first time I've typed like this on an ipod And let those diseased cities just grow over or destroy them
That's true. It was raining today and yesterday. And it looked like rain the rest of the week. I was feeling pretty miserable for most of the last 25 years or so.
As a Brit how accurate do you think this Brit's line of Britain is: So basically you want to live in the stone age.
If it would help preserve this planet for other generations and species to enjoy.. What you like bright neon lights more then rain forests or drinkable streams or fucking arctic mountains or any of the billions of dying species out there?
Audit the Federal Reserve and sit back, clickity clack , slide your rack back. Because the collective will wake, take to the streets and reestablish freedom and wash tyranny away with the blood of tyrants.
Yes I like human advancement, take note of the fact conservation has evolved from the fact people now have the time to sit back and actually take a good look at the Earth vs living in fear of wild animals, disease, famine, weather, ect,. Nature is great until you have to live in it for more than a short while.
I guess there is an element of truth to it. But the bit that is missed out is that we get an awful lot of our chest with friends and family. So, unlike others, we (adults) might not go upto people and give them a piece of our mind (unless we are drunk). I have seen some e.gs of it, though. Kids are starting to do it A LOT. More adults are not keeping their thoughts to themselves, either. I keep my thoughts to myself because I don't want to get stabbed.
Just how bad is knife crime there anyways. When my g/f at the time went on a tour of Britain, she summed up London in "The people walk looking at the ground and everyone seems to avoid all human contact, until you get into the bar, than anything goes."

Thought I'd do my bit for British tourism. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=312101&highlight=Disarming+britain
