well Ive been rediscovering pink floyd once again, I know its hard to believe...... but I havent listened to them in quite some time, until I went to a new restaurant. there are alot of kids there, I work with, around the age of 19 or so..... and one is into this pink floyd music, but only has the wall and dark side, so I had to get him into more of the floyd, but then I thought I need to pull out some of my bootlegs and stuff, to give them a relisten........
I remember the days when you were quite the Floyd freak! I've actually come to like them a lot myself in my old age too...
It happened! I'm now firmly back into a Beatles phase! haha I knew it would happen sometime... Seeing as I used to be a complete Beatles freak.
haha this totally happens to me every couple weeks... but i dont really notice it until i think about it. right now im really diggin red hot chili peppers. before that it was tool, before that it was 2pac/ludacris, before that was hendrix, before that was zeppelin, and before that just the music i was working on with my band. but i remember waaaaaaay back when, the first cd i bought was like smashmouth-- i was so into them. and also i was into kid rock but then what really made me love music and learn about music was blink 182... no joke. creed was important too. since i of course have grown and GREATLY broadened in my knowledge, interest, and taste in music. i can listen to almost anything and if its real music, i can appreciate it. holy shit im high.
Not the best re-discovery really, but I pulled out The Seahorses album "Do It Yourself" yesterday and enjoyed it immensly! I suppose the best re-discovery I've had recently has been The Beatles actually. It came from giving the Anthologies a listen, as soon as they were done I went right back to the studio albums and they all sounded fresh again.
I keep hearing Roxanne everytime I go out to a party.. It's weird. Maybe they're making a comback, lol. The Specials and Nick Drake.
