When I get my license it will either be a 1990 Chevrolet Silverado or a 1996 Toyota Camry LE because I know as sure as hell that my mom isn't going to let me touch her navigator.

1999 Toyota Tacoma cause it gets good gas mileage for a truck, it races up mountain passes, has 4X4 for the three-foot snow days, high ground clearance to get far from pavement and I can keep my camping/travelling gear stowed away in the camper shell year around. Plus they run for-like-ever....

I drive a 1994 Chevy Deathtrap.... uh, Cavalier RS. Because it was cheap. Its name is Mike Harr. (say it out loud...)

I'd much rather have a hybrid car. But I don't drive Mike very much because I live on campus, so I guess I feel better about the pollution issue and whatnot.

Oooh, oooh, I have a Buddha glued to my dashboard, too! And about 12 bumper stickers. My favorite one says "Proudly marching to the beat of a different kettle of fish". Hence the username, hehe.

    ROFL! That's pretty funny...

I use public transportation because it's better, in regards to conservation...
*AHEM* It has nothing to do with the fact that insurance is about $300/mo. in Baltimore City... <<HLS is shifting from foot to foot, not looking anyone in the eye>>

I so miss my Thunderchicken... er, um... yeah, you know what I mean.

I drive an '88 Honda CRX Si, because I bought it fairly cheap a few years ago, it's semi fast and has a standard, gets 35-40mpg and it still runs just fine at ~250,000 miles. I've had it since I was 15 though, and I'm getting kind of sick of it, probably going to be getting a new car in the next year or two.

I drive a 71 Vw bus. Not the greatest environmentaly but its got character and gets decent milage. (21-25MPG). I have always driven busses for some reason, without actually counting I'd say this is probably my tenth one in the last 5 years. I am seriously thinking about starting up an online vw bus parts business right now.

I drive a 2002 Subaru Impreza Outback Wagon.

    I love it!

I got it specifically because I wanted a car with decent room to lug my stuff, a roof rack for my kayaks, and all-wheel-drive, baby!! Subaru makes a great all-wheel-drive system.

Now all I have to do is move back up to where it snows. No snow in Florida, and I love driving in the stuff! :(

I drive a 1973 VW Beetle convertible. It gets exceptional gas mileage and has more room than I usually need. I like having the battery hidden under the passenger's seat in the back. I also like the fact that it is so old that it no longer needs to pass smog inspection. It's old and crappy and no one ever wants to borrow it.
It costs virtually nothing to insure, it fits in the tightest parking spaces, it's very easy to find in a garage (unless it's sandwiched between a Hummer or an SUV), it makes U-turns easily and repair is very inexpensive.
