thai shrimp kind of weird having to pop the heads off but they were tasty they came pre-cooked (i guess they quick boil them)... i was afraid they wouldnt have much flavour so i gave them a quick fry in butter and mrs dash spices....turned out perfect but definitely a messy snack having to pop and peel them pretty sure im going to buy a bunch for summer just in case its a chinese new year thing they might be seasonal
I have done these on skewers on the BBQ and everyone really loved them. Some even eat the heads as they are super crisp when done that way. I personally do not as it seems gross to me but.....
What are thai shrimp? I always thought that just was a recipe for regular shrimp. Though this right here may be enough to turn me off before even trying them. lol
I made walnut bread today. Instead of making it in a standard pan I divided the dough into quarters and made 4 mini breads. It's basically a whole wheat bread with walnut oil and maple syrup and lots of chopped walnuts. And you use buttermilk instead of regular milk or water. I had it with Brie and fig preserves. Yum!
i defrosted a nice striploin steak... then it started snowing so bad im not going out there to bbq so i cut it into chunks and wrapped those chunks with double smoked leadbetters bacon (best bacon in the world) and stuck it in the oven
Sloppy joes, raw broccoli with ranch dressing, sliced avocados Trying to do more kid friendly yet healthy meals so my child doesnt become anorexic. I've tried since he was a baby to develop his pallette by giving him more sophisticated foods (sophisticated by kid standards i mean) but it isnt working anymore. But i did figure out he'll eat veggies if they're raw so thats a win win. Gives me less material for this thread though
A Frozen Mc Cain Dinner Of "Homestyle Rissoles"......Washed Down With A Glass Of White..... Cheers Glen.
I finally tried the prosciutto with melon. Oh man, was it ever good! I stuck a grape on top too. You have the saltiness of the prosciutto, the freshness of the cantaloupe and the sweet and tart of the red grape. A perfect combo. I also wrapped some prosciutto around pieces of croissant that I bought freshly baked from the café around the corner. Yummy lunch!
I've got a cake in the oven. It's Devil's Food in a bundt pan. I poured the white, whipped icing in the middle of it. I'm going to top it with a confectioner's sugar glaze.
I made dough for sugar cookies, it needed to chill so im not going to bake them until tomorrow. I found a heart cookie cutter so i'm going to make some cutesy vday cookies
