Ronald McDonald did my cooking early. I asked my daughter if she wanted to go for a country drive, so we went to McDonalds, then went driving the back roads, talking and listening to her music. Good times. about 2am so I guess that counts as today.
No okra but I made jambalaya anyway. It came out good. The recipe I used made a shit ton. I could've made it a little spicier but since it was the first time and I figured that you can add spice but not take it out I'd use the minimum amount of tabasco in the sauce. C/S, Rev J
I made tuna fish salad, steamed broccoli, yellow saffron rice and sauteed red peppers/onions! Topped with buttered French toast.
I made some Spaghetti and garlic bread for my wife and I. Late lunch today. regular spaghetti noodles mixed with Cavatappi noodles The sauce is all from cans gound beef fresh mushrooms sweet onion fresh celery grated Romano cheese Italian garlic bread she said.....wheres dessert?.....lol time to put chef hat on again.... Tonight-pan grilled spicy chicken and onions, fried whole corn sprinkled with salt...kiwi?? been having lots of corn lately (need to go shopping) yestersay, corn cereal, same side of corn as today, and popcorn for dinner (yeah, really need to shop! ) made Achar gosht with a ready mix, so wasn't the project i made it out to be, but it's still one of our faves so it's all good! amazing!! pepper steak with grilled onions and capsicum is what i took from my Ma! (shoot! coulda done THAT with the beef...oh wait, no greenpepper! ) jambalaya. i need to do this again! good one pot meal! at least how i used to do it. anyway, sounds good. all your meals!
english muffin x2 this morning...with egg ,sausage and cheese ..real cheese not the processed crap supper is no cooking...fresh fish (pike) and fries from a legion hall in one of the surrounding towns ..they have a fish fry most months and this time i didnt forget about it..worth the drive
Just two of us tonight so I made a small roast pork loin. Roasted taters and carrots with the roast and had half a head of cauliflower left and cheese sauce so did that with it. Made a lemon dill gravy for the roast and that was dinner.

lol I had cheese and crackers and grapes. I have a boxed strawberry cake in the oven and canned cream cheese icing to go on it. Cake - The most important meal of the day.
I have some leftover pork loin that I could eat while the cake cools...or not. Sometimes a girl just needs pink cake.

I have to catch up on posting my meals! It's been mad here. I made chicken quesadillas the other day, with leftover chicken breast. They’re so quick to make. The salsa I bought was really salty. I'm going to have to try make my own. Same with the tortillas. And I made more sushi, just veggie sushi this time, but I added some fruit. These are the ingredients I used. The fruit I used was pear, green apple and strawberries. And the usuals, avocado, cucumber, green onions, lettuce and zucchini. I liked the addition of the fruit, but it was better with only one fruit per roll rather than all three. I used brown rice this time. With cannoli for dessert from the café. They make really good ones.
I'm trying to eat more beans. If anyone has any good recipes, let me know. I've made chili of course. I tried bean burritos. I was surprised at how good they were! Better than the mush at some restaurants. I used a can of no salt black beans and added taco spice, a bit of lime juice and some shredded cheddar. Today I'm making minestrone in the crockpot. You can’t see it in the picture, but there are mixed beans in it too. I didn't have cabbage so I added a few cauliflower florets.
I'm pretty much on a vegan diet now, to lose weight on my stomach and also to save money.Lots of muesli and rice milk,baked potatoes and vegetable soup,brown rice, mixed beans and courgettes.
