some day, if and when i'm living by myself, i'll have more to contribute to this thread. my usual thing is noodles, with most things cooked in the same broth with them. mushrooms, tuna, beef, veggie. basically with or without most any kind of meat. likewise non-meat. i generally either boil, broil, or microwave (or broil IN microwave or convection)

Are they already battered and cooked and you just heat them up, or do you batter them yourself and fry them up? I have squid rings in the freezer but I'd have to batter and fry them. I bought them for my seafood chowder, but calamari is sounding better and better!
Yeah they're ready to go hehe. Straight into the oven. I have made them all myself with the calamari tubing before and then crumbed them. Just fiddly things hehe.
Holy Crap, look at this recipe, it's so easy! (minus the marinara sauce). I'll have to try it soon. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/giada-de-laurentiis/fried-calamari-recipe.html For now I might beg the owner of the Italian restaurant down the street to make some. He's made a few dishes for me that I've suggested. Yeah, that sounds even better!

Made this six-egg omelet with sharp cheddar cheese, along with about seven strips of bacon and an avocado. It's a lot of food, but it's the only thing I've had today.
