I hated Wordstar... Actually, the version I had was NorthStar. Proprietary to NorthStar CP/M machines. So, that's what I hated... _________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Went to the pawnshop to buy an acrylic see through guitar. Why, you may ask... "Because" would be my answer.
ha ha..... hearing all that computer talk gives me anxiety-------- which is odd because i did meet my husband on the computer--------- but as far as knowing "stuff"--- its foreign to me did christmas cards, grocery list, menu
Ahhh CPM! Wordstar! Wrote my first novel with that... I had an NEC computer with two big old disk drives, and floppy they were We could do word processing, a spreadsheet, and that was about it! Cost the boss $5,000 at the time... things have gotten a bit better... maybe.
I can see your pain... it is pretty dreary. It took me quite some time to figure out how to just save a file. Oh, maybe it was this machine ?
Having dentures fitted to fill in the gaps left when teeth removed - they've made the mould, and Wednesday they put the mould in my mouth to make sure it all fitted ok. I get to have my 'plate' on the twenty tooth !!!
Looks like it! But I never saw any graphical displays on it like that... simply lines of texts and columns of numbers. The thing was we were on a tropical island, with crappy local power. So we had to have a stout UPS and Surge Suppressors, and an air conditioned room for the beast. In the 1970s almost no one had air conditioning... we were probably healthier without it.
Almost the same for me, but I am having some crowns (caps) put on some teeth first, then I get the partial denture. What fun it is getting a bit older! Definitely wiser, but older for sure.
writting zen loops in rom basic. filling the screen with random constantly replacing each other with graphic shape characters, or randomly generating towns and 'sonas, not graphically of course in those days, and randomly filling those sentence structures they taught you in english class they called it, from lists of your own favorites, with random driven case statements. couldn't wait for actual graphic programing and screen densities that would support them. but you could peek and poke actual character locations on memory mapped screens. lots of peeking and poking in those old rom basics. even periferal drivers written in them, painfully slow, but how to control odd mechanical objects using them. never had cp/m, but i still call "folders" sub-directories.
I took a nap as all indications lead me to believe there is going to be a very loud, very late night party next door. Tonight. Report tomorrow LOL!
It's my third time baking it. It's so so good! I took cookie dough and made the crust from half of it. Made peanut butter in the food processor. Filled the crust half way and I took the other half and wrapped the top of it and sealed it.
Some jackass hit another car driving like an ass. He got what he deserved. The other guy. I felt bad for him. People's driving has gotten a lot worse. It's the whole me me attitude. Complete narcissism.
Moved a bunch of leaves out of the front patio garden and yard... Basically there has been no acorns this year. The deer haven't had their normal fat storage they get from acorns, they are going to have a bad winter. Got a few leaves done out back, but just the small yard where the bird feeder is... There's still about an acre of leaves to deal with.
