Changed the oil in my John Deere tractor. Made a mess, but it runs like a charm.

Next time try soaking the beans for at least four hours, overnight is best. They cook much faster that way - without the crunchiness. :)

Your bone broth sounds quite delicious!

The John Deere may come in handy when you find a windmill. :)

Though it made me feel like I was peeing in the wind, I went out at -2F, wind blowing 14 gusting to 25 and blew the snow and leaves off the sidewalk and front porch. Looks like the last of the leaves finally got blown off my trees. Never had them be a pain in the rear this late in the year before. Some of the leaves are back already but they were 3 inches deep.

… Exactly … and Quixote, the ‘Knight of the Woeful Countenance’ thought windmills were giants, which needed to be jousted and slayed.
… He is also known for Dreaming the Impossible Dream. … which is not a bad idea nowadays.

Had surgery yesterday to fix my broken leg, ankle & torn ligaments. Doctor did a nerve block on my lower leg which is supposed to last 8-24 hours.

Nerve block still working! So glad they did that as I'm still pain free 12hrs later. But that'll change soon enough. Lol

winter turned on like a light switch. lows below freezing for the rest of the week.
just enough snow to color the ground tuesday morning.
